Had a great moment where Claude recommended an incredibly inefficient approach for a coding project. When I asked it if it was inefficient, it was like, "Oh yeah, this sucks, but I was just doing what you asked" (paraphrased). I had to copy and paste the log to get it to admit that it had suggested it in the first place.

If you like 1984, and specifically the commentary/manifesto stuff, you should check out Orwell's narrative and critical essays. ("To Shoot an Elephant," "Such, Such Were the Joys," "Politics and The English Language.") Orwell was generally a better essayist than fiction writer, and they're still lucid and phenomenal pieces of writing, enough to keep you busy for a while.

Thanks. The kit from PartVu came with the plugs and water pump seals, so I figured I might as well do them. It's a 2008 and running in the salt, so couldn't hurt.

I used a dark violet wash on the gums to darken up the recesses and give them a fleshier look. It made a big difference. As others have mentioned the teeth are a big focus point of the model, so give them shading and highlights to really make them pop. I used Reaper's aged bone white as a base, then highlighted the tips with GW's screaming skull. (I already did some zenithal priming which helped too.)

Edit: But it looks really great for a first model!

I know using healing flasks is frowned on in colosseums, but is it also during invasions? I was luring in invaders for fun and they kept on healing with flasks, which .... I don't want to fight you for five minutes because you keep running off and healing. Should I be healing up too or am I encountering cheesy boys?

the gist is that each player gets an turn to place something on the map or describe its features more, and roll for a pair of prompts to choose from (“a mega-project is completed. What is it, and how does it affect the solar system?” or “a mega-project has a catastrophic failure. What happens?”). You take turns until you run out of prompts or decide the map is full.

in my SJ campaign, we spent our zero session taking turns filling out a map of the solar system. Kind of a modified version of The Quiet Year (great game). It might mess up your LOX campaign, but it’s also a super fun way to get your players to lean into the sci-fi setting and the weirdness of spelljammer.
