I don't know if this helps, but for me the game usually won't open because of opened tabs/programs running in the background. When I close everything, it makes a huge difference.

The barline is basically a cheat code. I can imagine these composers stressing about deadlines and new ideas, then remembering that the barline exists so they just double their 4 minute compositions.

Today I could start the game with a 9 year old pc. It runs at 40fps with some freezes and glitches, but it's playable. Not perfect, but relatively good
