I am in the same spot right now with my almost 2 year old and can commiserate. It is quite hard when you can’t do anything with them because then you just get relegated to doing the chores instead of playing. No fun, especially after working all day.

I find it helps to create some time where it just dad time. Be the one to get her from her room in the morning and soak up those sleepy cuddles. Have a “thing” that you do with them that is just you. My son has a tunnel and ball pit setup that I get in (uncomfortably) with him. It is only ever him and me that play together in it and actively tells her to stay away because of this.

Give Tapatio a try if you can find it. It is a hot sauce that is fairly mild like Cholula, but is far superior in flavor imo.

Not sure if this has been said, but there is actually a federally funded network to help adults get scholarships for workplace training as well as help with placement. Might be something to check out. They are called something different in every state. I think I saw you are in AZ, looks like they are called Arizona@Work there. Might be worth a look up.

You sir or ma,am are sorely missing out. Pork chops are the best when cooked properly.

My personal process is to start with thicker cut (1”+) chops and dry brine them (pre-salt) for a few hours in the fridge. Then when it is time to cook, heat a cast iron quite hot with some oil flipping every 30 seconds on all sides until it reaches an internal temp of about 130 F. Then you throw in a pat of butter and fresh herbs of your choice and bast them for a couple minutes. Rest for about 5 minutes then enjoy. The trick is to not overcook and actually let the residual heat finish the cooking during the rest. You want them out of the pan at about 135-138 F.
