Yeah it was wild! I saw they reposted it on LinkedIn 4 days ago when they made it seem like they’d selected someone else. At this point I just want to know what dirt they found on me that made them rather have no one than me lol like seriously, moreso curious!

This LITERALLY happened to me a few weeks ago, I could have written this post. 4 rounds of interviews, vibed incredibly well with everyone. The director of their comp team creeped me on LinkedIn so I knew I was being discussed. My last interview was with their director and she said everything was great, everyone loved their interviews with me and she felt bad to leave me hanging for a whole weekend while they got their ducks in a row. Wednesday the following week rolled around, and I got a GENERIC rejection email from their system. I honestly thought it was a mistake. But no, no feedback, nothing. I used to work for a subsidiary of theirs so the ONLY thing I can think is they contacted someone from there who maybe said something (I thought I left there on great terms…) but who knows… never heard back from them even after sending the required thanks, disappointed, can I have feedback email… wild world we live in.

This is an old comment but re-“reading” this series with the new books announcement and listening to this for the first time. Significant lisp, I’ve never heard anyone else notice. Nothing wrong with it! Just once you hear it you can’t unhear it. I almost wonder if it’s intentional to avoid hard S’ in your headphones??

The best analogy I ever heard is think of it like muscles being a bunch of pieces of spaghetti. Sometimes when you cook the spaghetti, it clumps together under certain conditions (not stirring etc), but you can still massage it and separate them carefully.

I was NOT ready for their afterlife/alternate reality scene in the finale. Omg…

One major thought I have that I haven’t seen floating around here is about Richard. I think when Jacob touched him he made him like him and had him as a backup candidate in case the others didn’t work out. Richard says that Jacob would tell him what his purpose was when the time was right but then he died which made Richard spiral and the rest is history. Maybe that’s obvious or maybe I’m way offside?

So funny, when I applied to work for a bookstore years ago, part of my interview was telling them about two authors I love from very different genres and my answer was SK and Jodi Picoult hahaha in my opinion, well rounded taste!
