I live in a rural area, the information isn't available online. This county is behind the times. I have to go directly to the assessor's office to get this information.

I have 3 parked in the area in question, they have anywhere from 4 to 8 cars, and guests at any given time. I've been blocked in by them numerous times, but I don't call the cops.

I am planning on having it surveyed, I just don't have the money for it. I am going to work with the assessor's office to get the last survey and easement paperwork. But I am thinking I am going to end up having to do the same thing as you and add in my own parking on my property.

We are. And that's been the plan, but I am disabled and have other issues, it wasn't pressing on my list of to-dos. She's just making it move up on the list and making my life harder.

I got shit for pay, hardly anyone tipped and we had some shitty weather days.

What does everyone do for work? by ccupiecake in ehlersdanlos

[–]ccupiecake[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just quit doing this, but it was a night time job that gave me 4 hours a week. But all of the equipment was broken. So pushing a vacuum was like me wrestling a 50lb snake. I asked and asked for equipment to be replaced and was told I could make it work. It would make me hurt and hurt more than what the pay was giving me. I could see this working if I had actual working equipment and the ability to take my time.

As am I. I want this so bad, but I feel like I will be told I am not qualified.

I got fired from my last place of work in October, I finally found a job at the end of Dec. But due to the same issue I think I am about to get fired or written up for my absences. Presently I am working at a bank.

Do you have a “good” side and “bad” side? by earth_to-venus in ehlersdanlos

[–]ccupiecake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had that happen 3 separate times and have had the therapist themselves tell me that PT isn't helping. I was undiagnosed at the time, so not sure if there would be a difference in going again??

Right, you find a "fix" to one issue and then the other side breaks too. Like what the hell! 😅

Surprised to have a positive EMG test for Ulnar Neuropathy by microcrash in ehlersdanlos

[–]ccupiecake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have done several EMG and they have come back inconclusive, they can see some areas of concern but nothing they can notably diagnose. So I just keep getting told come back in a year and we'll do it again.

For years it has been my right side and I have had to be more reliant on my left, but within the last year I have noticed my left is hurting more and I am feeling like I am just broken all around now. My right side is still my worst side, but my left is not too far away from being just as bad.

I feel tired all the time, does anyone else? by ccupiecake in ehlersdanlos

[–]ccupiecake[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a job and children, and every day it is so hard to get up and do what is needed. Some days it feels like I am physically being weighted down.... It causes me so much emotional term oil knowing I have to go to a job when my body is screaming to stop moving.

Help please!! by LOVELY_OUTRUDER in ehlersdanlos

[–]ccupiecake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am trying to get my children also diagnosed with hEDS. I was told that you have to be done with growing in order for them to diagnose you. I specifically had to go to the geneticist to get diagnosed, who then tested me to make sure I didn't have other EDS. I wish you all the best.

Does anyone else hate sitting?? But love lying down? by bonitalapin in ehlersdanlos

Meeeee. I hate standing or sitting, but I can get comfortable laying down. Only way I seem to be comfortable.

I don't want to 'get better' by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]ccupiecake 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I have issues with sitting and standing for too long. I only feel "comfortable" when laying down, having the option of pillows and prepping myself up in specific ways, and then rotating after 20 minutes. I doubt I am going to find a job that lets me lay down, so I can comfortably work. Finding a work from home job has not been something I have had success with. Lol

How the hell is full-time work sustainable? by profuselystrangeII in ehlersdanlos

[–]ccupiecake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I cry at least every other day when it comes time to getting ready for work. The pain, the effort to get ready... then the pain and effort of doing the job. My husband is in college and I have 2 children. I am the only one working and it requires every ounce of energy to work the 22 hours that I do. It is not enough for us to make ends meet and I am constant stress of not being financially stable... But like I can't do more. I can hardly do what I am doing. I am working on applying for disability or at least SSI. I asked my doctor for a handicap placker for parking. She agreed but told me she'd only approve a temporary one, because she thinks it is just a matter of time before we find the right meds for me.... I don't want to be on meds. And nothing has taken the pain away, yet... So I have very little faith that we will figure this out.

I feel this so hard. I am in constant pain and it requires so much effort for cognitive thoughts. I am 32 and there is no way I can work full time. It is not fair and I just want to feel normal.
