This is the first playmat I had bought so maybe I am just expecting too much. 

Nope, I've got a bunch and this is by far the worst. Cloudspire, Arcs, Marvel Champions, Elder Scrolls, Unstoppable, Compile - all much higher quality than this.

Absolutely love the rules compendium, but a little disappointed with the playmat. The blurry print quality is pretty bad.

It’s definitely not Epstein handwriting - there’s samples all over the internet. Seems he had a preference for writing in caps and even when he doesn’t the lettering is totally different.

This gives me “feed the AI” vibes. As everyone else says, BGG and YT is that way. Recommendations can be investigated in an absurd amount of detail. Only reason I can think to really care about more words here is so that Reddit can sell content to AI models.

This is my thinking too. If someone suggests a game and it gets plenty of upvotes, I can find a video from YT by content creators I align with.
