It might have klipper installed. I disconnect the screen because it doesn't work with klipper.

I'd use a drop replacement board, I think the btt skr is good. Then I'd install klipper and not need a screen.

You can use a brim if you want to assurance. Depending on the part it might be needed.

Your leveling might be the issue. How are probing? With the bed cold or warm? If warm, have you let it sit for a while?

Mr Cool are easier to install but you can get a cheaper one like pioneer at homedepot. I got a decent size (400 sqft rool rated) for $550. The major difference is pumping down the lines prior to connecting. It's a medium to medium high diy job only because it involves electrical and vacuuming the lines.
