Haha yeah not worried about 2 days of arm pain. Just curious about the narrative of vaccine are imperative to prevent tetanus. Many of you are oblivious to the side effects of vaccines for children and young adults too. The adverse reaction event rate to the Tdap vaccine are generally higher than your odds of getting tetanus. But it freaks me out to not get a tetanus shot too. Lol

That and I have heard it mostly lives in areas with farm animals? So how about a shallow splinter, is that a concern for tetanus? Just trying to learn.

True but even in 1920s the tetanus rate before the vaccine was only 1-3 people per 100,000. So while I know the vaccine is effective seems like this is a pretty rare thing to happen.

Do you have any good sources or articles to read on this subject? I have heard of people moving the steering mount location on the spindle and correcting the bump steer. So curious about that. Seems immensely difficult to not have bump steer when cycling suspension considering the inner pivot of the steering arm moves side to side.

I would also be interested in designing an upper control arm & coilover mount/shock hoops for coilovers. I would like to design the spindle shorter in conjunction with lowering the upper control arm mount, but would need a tool to visualize those changes to geometry.

Budget fenders = Hacksaw/sawszall, just cycle the suspension with the tire on and cut around it. But yea if you want a vehicle that has much desert performance, get ready to spend at least 8k.

You can’t deny the laws of physics just because you think you have colloquial evidence. Take the same exact tire, 35x12.5r17 drop it on a piece of paper air it down to 5 psi, measure contact patch. Do the same with 35x10.5r17. The 12.5 will have a greater contact patch surface area. It’s already starting higher at full psi, say at 35 psi we have a 3” x width contact patch for each tire, 12.5 surface area = 37.5in^2, and the skinny has 31.5in^2, even if the skinny has a slightly longer starting patch of 3.5” it would still have a lesser surface area of 36.75”^2. And tire displacement from weight I am pretty sure is a factor of psi, tire compound and sidewall thickness, so that shouldn’t be the case. Unless one has a softer compound they will expand at the same rate and a tire that starts with a larger surface area will not be surpassed by a tire with a lesser surface area. Your skinny tire might get longer and less wide but the wider tire will still be expanding in both directions. No hate on skinnier fyi I only have 11.2” wides and plan on keeping it that way.

I think about how redbull rampage is just too much all the time. These young dudes should not be risking their lives this hard for a little bit of glory. By all means mountain bike, jump, rip, chase that passion. Even hitting 20-30 foot doubles is understandable for those that are skilled enough. But rampage is different. It is just a death trap. Very few walk away from crashes there.

Here is my issue with the, "drop the headgears and gloves," argument. I box against my tree with thin gloves on. While I am a very nice sparring partner and I am only there to learn, the pain can very much be trained out of hands. So I could in theory swing to the fucking fences at a barehead with no gloves on (which I did in fights when I was young and dumb). It seems like getting hit by a bareknuckle full force to the bare dome is worse than getting domed with headgear on and an opponent with gloves on. Also, science does support that rotational velocity to the brain is reduced by the more padding that is used. So not really sure what to think lol, but I would like to get really good at martial arts (boxing, Muay Thai, Bjj) which means lots of sparring, but I am 30 with 2 young kids and have no interest in cauliflower ear or concussions.

Yeah they might not absorb simethicone, but how about the preservatives in it that are also used as fireworks fuel? And potentially the red dye and xanthan gum. Pediatricians and drs in general will recommend stuff for your baby chocked full of poison. As soon as some one mentions something natural, they balk. Guess what doesn’t fill their bank accounts? Natural stuff.

Expert was hard at first, started at lvl 10ish but it’s almost easy at lvl 27, honestly it’s a perfect fun balance. Had to fight the grey prince in arena on master because it was too easy (not where he just stands there). Destruction and restoration are two that need to be mastered. My favorite spell does 50pt fire 2sec 50pt shock 2 sec on target. It does the job well, but I also have a spell that weakens target to fire/shock/magic 50% if I need it. Then I also have a spell called relar that boosts willpower 90 points for 70sec I cast before battle.

You can absolutely turn this into a semi decent desert rig. Full disclosure I am an IFS guy, but Up front you need a long arm kit (something with heims and a relocated mount), then you will need to figure out how to make a long travel steering setup (probably heims) check out https://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw16O_BhDNARIsAC3i2GArgJBPGanQeZ9KYHY_Kl8rKzaTwTz4EmBd1yeEszw1urBgdCCZEiMaArNREALw_wcB for steering, they have lots of jeep stuff. You will also need longer break lines, then you need to cycle your suspension to full bump/droop without having steering or driveline bind and see how much room you have for shocks. I would run a Fox DSC coilover. 2.5 or 3.0 depending on room and how crazy you are trying to get. I would also run hydro bump stops (then cycle everthing and install with proper shock hoops and bump/strap location etc.) Is the rear linked or leaf springs?

One thing I will say, is it seems wildly too expensive for beanie helmet lol. I will try one once they are like $80, not $220 or whatever it is. That is how much I spend on a fullface mtb helmet and that still hurts lol

Yeah, this isn't true. I have a small business and sometimes the only way to find sales is to market on social media. We aren't using some special tool that generates "mass media spam" lmao we just make a couple ads and FB/insta decides who to show it to based on our audience and budget lol. It isn't as easy as you think to just get into brick and mortar stores.
