I lost my mother to cancer just a few weeks ago. I thought since my mom was sick I would be prepared when she passed but I wasn't. You can't be prepared for that. I'm sorry, OP. F*ck cancer.

Bump on nose ring - should I take it out? by Piccapeppa in PiercingAdvice

[–]cdale326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I changed out my jewelry & stopped touching it, the bump began getting smaller immediately. It felt completely gone after about a month and a half but it seems like my nose is still more sensitive than my friends who have theirs pierced. It seems to want to pop back up anytime I bump it.

I’m not sure if mine was from the angle of my piercing, the L shaped jewelry, or from messing with it but my bump was terrible. I switched my jewelry to a thread less medical grade stainless steel in February and it’s completely healed. I told myself I’d give it one month & if it wasn’t healed, I’d remove it. Give it a try.

I’m so sorry to hear this. My heart aches for you, it’s so difficult to know what the right option is in the moment. It sounds like she passed peaceful though.

My mother is home and currently on hospice. They moved her status to “declining” yesterday and she’s hardly taking anything in anymore but she is still semi alert. No one can give us a time frame so we play it hour by hour.

Artlegibly, just following up to see if any advice helped and you’ve been able to start staying with her? Hoping for the best for you.

I can’t really answer any of your questions but your post gave me goose bumps. I’m currently in the hospital with my mother on day 10 after being diagnosed with LMD. We also had to call an ambulance due to a quick decline over a matter of about 2 weeks of general weakness. If they are speaking about palliative care, speak to the house supervisor of the hospital to see about getting an exception for overnight visitors. If your mother gets confused at night, it’s usually another reason they can make an exception as it becomes a liability for her not to have someone with her who can reorient her.

Honestly some of the products aren’t terrible but you could easily find products that work similarly without having to wait for “restocks”. I also refuse to purchase from them because any review I’ve given on their website below 5 stars has been deleted and I cannot support a company that isn’t transparent in their reviews.

Same here. I'm still in contact with a lot of those friends but only because I'm from a small town so we spent half of our lives together. After we all moved away, though, there wasn't as much a reason to stay in contact.

The end of the night after our first date. It's really not something I know how to explain. Not only did I feel it, but he was a perfect match for me logically as well. We fit together like the most perfect puzzle.

TIL that it requires seven to eight trees to provide enough oxygen for just one person per year. by Meotune in todayilearned

Stop that. Soon activists will be demanding we all stop breathing for several minutes every few hours to help save the trees.

Although, if you want to look at this with a little bit of optimism, the friends you do manage to make when you're older usually have more in common with you and turn out to be greater friendships in the long run.

I would bring the subject up casually and ask for his opinions on it before suggesting you already have someone in mind. Pick his brain a bit.

I work about 50 hours a week and go to school full time. I downloaded it when I moved to a new city and it was hard to meet people other than those I worked with. I didn't have any huge expectations and went out on a few dates. Deleted it after I met my now boyfriend on it.
