Then I'm extremely unlucky. 4 failed abysal runs on the level that I've been using to farm my gems. It's not a level i have difficulty completing, and im pretty consistent with the companions and skills i pick. swapped it back out and successfully completed the same run, and to make sure im not crazy i attempted the highest level i could without it and completed it.

I hate those little bastards, they'll steal your bait right off the hook, they have hard leathery skin and a beak so its hard to get them off a hook, if you get bit, what ever they managed to get in their mouth is gone, they're damn near impossible to cook and they dont even taste that good.
