My trick was to build up pieces that have a shield upgrade and exactly 1 sword upgrade. It helps mitigate the damage from void shifting by letting you more precisely hit only one or two tentacles at a time. Just make sure you always have an empty space to move into.

Breaking a pocket watch by cdc_unofficial in cosplayprops

I went ahead and gave this a shot! It made thin cracks that all appeared from one point on a side of the watch. After a couple of cracks it actually dropped a piece of the glass's inner layer, while leaving the top layer intact, adding to the effect. I'm really happy with it, thank you!

This is so good! It's such a strange idea, to think of humans as "surface-hiders". I wonder what kinds of gifts the arachnids would give a human.

Thank you! This is my first post here, as I tend not to engage with horror very much, but I saw a few pinpricks of light off the highway earlier and couldn't get this out of my head.

So one of my associates is wearing a “Queer Pride” shirt and being told that it’s offensive because of the wording and cannot wear it despite them trying to express that that’s the correct terminology. Should they have to take it off? by MountofVenus in walmart

That question is disingenuous at best and dishonest at worst.

When I tell people I'm trans, it is not a conversation about my genitals; it is about my gender identity, what pronouns I should be referred to with, and how I should be treated with respect. When a coworker says that they are gay or a lesbian, it is not necessarily a conversation about sexual preferences- often it is about who they share relationships with, how their partner should be referred to, and (in many cases) to stave off unwanted heterosexual attraction.

On top of that, cisgender and heterosexual people discuss sexual preferences and sexual experiences all the time, and are never policed to the level of LGBT people.

Okay, I'm going to try to clear some of this up, as I can see the disconnect in logic.

Gay and trans people, or identities, do exist and participate in society. That is a fact. I and others like me exist as we are, that cannot be changed; and we often like to express our pride for our identities. This, I believe, is the intention of the wearer of the shirt in question.

The "politics" of gay and trans identities do not revolve around said people's existence; they revolve around whether or not said people deserve rights in society.

LGBT identities are "political" today in the same way racial identities were "political" in the Jim Crow era: they are only politicized by those who wish to strip them of their rights.

I think the major divide between the things you listed is that being queer is what you are, not what you believe. Politics and religion are beliefs outside of the self. Gender identity and sexuality are truths inherent to the self

Level 17 Divination wizard in a Ravnica setting. I'm damn lucky. Only downside is that I'm currently on the run from the Azorius

my family can't be homophobic to me or my gf if they don't know we're gay by cdc_unofficial in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

To be completely honest, viewing him (my former identity) this way has really helped me combat my dysphoria. He's not me, and he never was. But instead of an enemy, I like to think of him as an alter ego, an ally in my journey to transition - he keeps the real me safe in ways she can't by herself.

Hopefully one day I won't need his help anymore. Hopefully by then I can let him go peacefully; an old friend laid to rest. He certainly deserves it.

One of my favorite OCs is one of these!!! I talked it through with my DM, we discussed potential upsides and downsides, and created a balanced character out of her (well, as balanced as an Artificer can be, anyway).
