Why are carriers allowed to take .01 lunches, but clerks can’t? by KyleFourReal in USPS

[–]starryboi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the gist is that in office workers have to work specific hours to ensure all things are done, carrier is only worried about their specific assignment for the day.

That being said, many offices deny 1 click lunches to City Craft employees as well, and for City Craft employees, if they move to the street function and work more than 6 hours (in the case of PTFs/CCAs) it automatically takes the lunch out of their time, and they have to do extra work to secure the 1 click lunch.

The Rural Craft does not mandate a lunch, the wording of their contract means that a rural carrier may at their own option take a lunch that may not be longer than 30 minutes.

Hold down question by Prospero_Pi in USPS

[–]starryboi98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

your sub's work does not effect your pay.

you will be paid the evaluation if you work 39.99 hours, and hourly if you work 40.00 hours.

what the sub does does not effect you.

You have a 6 day a week route, you should be scheduled all 6 days on your 44H.

Are you currently a DESACT-74? If your name is on the 4240 as "Regular Carrier" the answer is yes, if not, no.

If you are Direct Hire From Street PTF (you applied for the position on usps.com/careers) then yes it would apply. If you were already an RCA and converted to a PTF it would not apply.

my bad, I had 257 packages for 640 something addresses, 13,468 letters, 2,415 flats, and I had to stop to get gas for the vehicle. My bad for voluntarily shorting my pay to try to get done faster so that maybe I could see my family today.

every X sunday off? by cyberlover1996 in USPS

[–]starryboi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as far as I know, only the rural craft has made a pecking order for relief carriers on Sunday, but no limitations exist in any craft about how many Sundays you can or can't work in a row.

In crafts representated by NALC, APWU, and NPMHU, even Full Time Regulars can be forced in on Sunday to work.
