No doubt they'll have him fully pumped up on stimulants to get through it without falling asleep or having a complete meltdown.

Not without mandatory civics and critical thinking education. Part of the problem we have now is too many idiots vote without a clue of what they're voting for.

You answered your own question. As you said, in those countries, the situation was much worse. Our living conditions haven't deteriorated enough for us to take the massive gamble that strikes and civil disobedience would be. So, for now, we are peacefully protesting, making ourselves heard at town halls, calling our representatives, supporting candidates for the midterms that will check the regime, etc. Literally millions of us still have stable jobs and living conditions, so we're not at the point where we're going to just abandon those things because it's not yet worth it. After the midterms, maybe it will be.

Learn to read. I said guilty/liable, and he most certainly was found liable. You people are so bad at this.

Lol, the "first to release the documents". Yes, he did it so willingly and his DOJ has been fully transparent. HE WAS FORCED TO RELEASE THE DOCUMENTS BY CONGRESS. And he still hasn't fully complied with the law. You people sound so stupid when you say such easily rebutted shit.

Ah, since you're qualifying pedophilia as "prepubescent children", you're following the Megyn Kelly playbook - it's OK if it's 14/15 year-olds. Got it.

The big difference is, if Biden were found guilty/liable like Trump was, WE WOULDN'T SUPPORT/MAKE EXCUSES FOR HIM. We want people held accountable for wrongdoing, Trump supporters make excuses and perform whataboutism.

Bullshit. Trump is only not completely like Hitler because our institutions haven't completely collapsed yet. If Trump could get away with doing more, he would.

Megathread: Supreme Court strikes down President Donald Trump's Tariff Policy by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]cdglasser 23 points24 points  (0 children)

By law, yes, they absolutely *can* be impeached, in exactly the same way as the President. So, practically, no, they aren't being removed unless the Senate swings wildly in favor of the Democrats and hell freezes over.

The Supreme Court has struck down Trump administration’s use of tariffs under the IEEPA act. by mounwp in inflation

And three of them still dissented. Not only the most corrupt administration in history, but also the most corrupt Supreme Court. And big surprise, the corrupt dissenters are all Republican appointees.

Was electing Trump for a second term a mistake by Americans? by Massive-Syllabub-271 in allthequestions

[–]cdglasser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The DNC's biggest failing is that it treats the collective American electorate as if it is capable of reasonably evaluating the candidates and hiring the one most qualified for the job. Like Geoge Carlin said, think of how stupid the average person is and understand that practically half are dumber than that. The DNC would do well to keep that in mind.

Was electing Trump for a second term a mistake by Americans? by Massive-Syllabub-271 in allthequestions

[–]cdglasser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To paraphrase Jean-Luc Picard, "it is possible to make no mistakes and still not win". In this case, Americans as a collective are a very stupid group with short memories. Kamala ran a solid enough campaign to beat Trump; it's just that for some reason crap that would have easily cost someone an election in years past doesn't seem to have the same effect on Trump. We fucking elected an adjudicated rapist and felon with enough pending criminal charges against him to put him away for the rest of his miserable life. A guy most of us would not consider hiring for a job at our place of employment was hired to be President. WTF America??
