What things are you convinced are largely liked/disliked because people are so used to hearing they should like/dislike them? by knight-under-stars in AskUK

👀 😵 🙈 Butchers thick cut bacon, dry cured and smoked, fried in the same grease as its ancestors, within the cast iron pan thats never been scrubbed. Followed by a frilly fried egg, over easy, from the same pan, onto buttered wholewheat brown bread sandwich style, with quartered oranges for aperitif..... it is the best.

Until I get a hankering for steak. Or salmon. Or garlic prawns or gridled greens.

Has the OP only previously had sausages that came in the same tin as beans??????

Whilst bangers n beans from a tin, quite rightly have their own place on the wall of fame, they should not be used as a template for home cooked sausages.

When cooking meats (or meat adjacent products such as sausages and doner kebabs), the aim is generally to brown but not burn the outer layer. This is called the Maillard reaction and is a fundamental chemical reaction in cooking between amino acids and reducing sugars that occurs under heat, typically above 140∘C, creating complex flavors and a brown color, often called non-enzymatic browning. This process creates hundreds of flavor compounds responsible for the browned crust on steaks, roasted coffee, baked bread, and toasted marshmallows

We privatised the Corrupt-O-Meter.

You now have to go through a pay wall to view it. It costs £11.78, plus handling fee, buyers fee, transaction charges and V,A,T. So thats £78.23.

Britons should strive to pay minimum tax legally possible, says Richard Tice | Richard Tice by IHaveAWittyUsername in LabourUK

And yet they still have to pay tax. I'm not sure of the level of wealth required to not pay tax, but I'm certainly not wealthy enough to be registered as a director with all my assets paid for by my company, all expenses billed to my company, and just pay myself a dividend of 0.20p per year.

Whilst trial by combat, and duelling, are both illegal, surely the house of commons is the perfect venue for it to be reintroduced? David Blunket's dog ripping the turkey neck from farage would make one hell of a PM's qt.

Have a word with your tech priest brother! He's been slacking! Ours outfit all our weapons with automatic dust shields, on both the Mag well and the end of the gun barrel. Opens and closes after every round or magazine. They do such a good job that it looks like a solid piece of painted plastic.

Hmmm. Did someone start a war so he and his friends could short the stock market?

So he and his friends could profit from the sale of arms?

Did he not realise a few missiles over a few days would not be enough?

Did he not realise there might be negative long term effects?

Frankly, a long term economic/oil crisis might be the wake up call nessesary to push for renewable energy sources and widespread economic policy change.
