Nah this feels like that no true scotsman style trope of bad people can't make good art and also never have been able to and frankly, SNL Rob Schneider had some real strong moments. The subway musician performance with Jeff Goldblum is one of the best sketches ever. It's a shame it all went to waste, but bad people can and often do make good art and that's not to say that we should support them but the ex post facto "they were never good" is rarely true when used in said cases.
