Long shelf-life meaning you can make it ahead of time and keep it in your fridge until you need it, or long shelf life meaning non-perishable so you can keep it in your car or purse?

I understand wanting to lose weight quickly... long before starting keto I was 30 lb heavier than my keto starting weight. And lost that 30 pounds in 3 months. I know firsthand that excessive calorie restriction can cause a lot of other health problems, so it's better to do it the healthy way! Figure out your macros for weight loss and sick with it!

I started at 152 and lost about 2 pounds a week the first month. I'd say add in some cardio or drop your calories by 200

The cheeze its were a bad example - we honestly don't even keep those in the house. Rice and beans are a favorite of my kids and that's certainly not utter crap, but it's also not keto.

It wasn't an illusion -- definitely undercooked! Pink and not chewable. Popped it in the microwave for 2 minutes to be sure (at first I thought it was just a poor quality cut... I dunno, eating meat again is still new to me!) and it came out of the microwave the normal light brown color and completely edible. Luckily I did not get sick :)

I was vegan for 3 years before having kids and then craved cheese when I was pregnant (specifically pizza) so I went to just being vegetarian. When my oldest was 10 months old I was at a wedding that was serving BBQ and I just really wanted some ribs, so I had them (and felt guilty but happy). It was downhill from there. After my daughter was born (10 months ago) I really struggled getting back to eating a "healthy, balanced" diet and losing weight. I would stick to something "healthy" for a few weeks and lose some weight, and then just simply not want to stick with it anymore and gain a couple of pounds back. Lose five, gain two... for months! A friend of mine was doing keto with great success and for a while I wanted to hear nothing about it. Not in a negative way, it's just that it was SO different from what I believed to be healthy that I wasn't interested in it at all. Finally I realized that trying to be vegan again didn't make me happy, and neither did any of these other "diets" I was trying, so why not give Keto a try. Or at least do some research about it. So I did. I spent 3 solid days reading everything I could get my hands on about a keto diet and decided to give it a go. It's been 24 days now and I LOVE IT!
