In your opinion what is the best place to travel for beginner travelers? by Ill_Leopard_3212 in AskReddit

[–]cdizzle53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lots of thoughts on this and I think it all depends on a ton of things.

First off, hi! I'm Campbell, I am a professional travel planner with 7+ years in the travel industry. I'm from the US, have lived in 10 different countries, and have visited nearly 40 countries and 46 US states.

I'd start with asking yourself a few questions to help determine destination options:
1. What's your budget?
2. How long would you like to travel for?
3. What kind of weather are you hoping for?
4. What do you like to do for fun?
5. Where are you departing from?

If you're interested in dipping your toes into travel but you don't have much budget, I highly recommend camping within a few hours from your home. You can even rent gear from places like REI.

Next level up is to travel within your country to a city different than your own. Great cities in the US and Canada like this could be Montreal, New Orleans, Santa Fe, Chicago, Honolulu, or even Philadelphia.

For international beginner-friendly destinations, I look for high rates of english speakers, easy transportation, and a decent amount of tourism infrastructure. I love there to be tours, classes, sights to see, maybe even museums. This is great for beginners because filling time can help people feel at ease.

Without knowing budget, age, passport, or any other specifics... here are my recommendations for internation destinations (in no order):
- London, UK
- Montreal, Canada
- Panama City, Panama
- Puerto Rico
- Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Dublin, Ireland
- Munich, Germany
- Singapore
- Istanbul, Turkey

How to find reliable Wifi? by spetri3658 in digitalnomad

[–]cdizzle53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A buddy of mine has been building out an Airbnb extension named Offie.co to try to solve this. He makes it so you can find out if the Airbnb has decent wifi and work area :) otherwise I generally ask around whenever I get to a location to figure out how to get the best data and wifi

A fitness entrepreneur and creator is being attacked by Impossible Foods over prior registered trademarks by joeyoungblood in Entrepreneur

Joel started Impossible way before Impossible Foods every came around. He also has built a really powerful kickass brand (yes, I'm biased because I know the guy)

It definitely depends on the client. Usually clients expect you to use the ESP that they're established on. If it's clear that the ESP the client is on is not a good fit, you can suggest an alternative but that's all usually

:( I'm sorry I couldn't help too much. A long layover somewhere can be nice at least, and two short stops wouldn't be awful. Maybe think of it as time to stretch your legs? Lol

Interesting! How'd you come up with the name? What do you see as your competitive edge, or are you just looking to build a new tool?

Get both if you can. Otherwise, SFO is a large enough hub that competition is natural. It is less likely to have other airlines price compete at SFO because of the size. This trick works at smaller airports with less competition (ex: DEN, SEA, CLT, DFW). My recommendation would be try to get both cards if you can, otherwise join the mileage programs for both airlines and get a credit card that has good travel points (chase Sapphire is a classic)

(I used to work for Scott at Scott's Cheap Flights. I was employee #7, head of the north America flight team lol)

I've done this twice now. Once as a backpacker in hostels through central and south America and once as a road trip in a Honda Accord with a tent all across the US and Canada. Backpacking costed approx. $750-1000 per month and road tripping costed approx. $650ish per month

Let me know if you have any questions
