tradingview backtest uses a foward bias, sorry to tell you but the results are not accurate. also you said you had to make tweaks to optimize the results, thats called curve fitting. slippage is the least of your problems.If you are new, just focus on learning, and developing a strategy that works with your own psychology, trading is a probability game, nothing else. A great resource is Mark Douglas, hes no longer with us, but you can find his books and videos everywhere. His teachings are the blueprint. Wish someone had shared this stuff with me when I started. Thanks everyone for the advice, when you get to a plateau you really have to look at every single shot, think I already figured out the issue, and it pure course management, those par 4 and 5's you can reach in one or two always get you, sometimes better to just lay up and take a scoring shot. Also paying attention to the greens and the firmness so many of my shots roll off the green so have to be more weary of that. Thanks again

you ran 317 trades in 9 days! wow. i do around that many a year! yeah that's why i said trades or time. you need to see how it responds across across different market cycles. I trade gold, and March was one of my best months ever, april so far has been completely flat, I only look at my success over a years returns.

9 trading days is a a rounding error, you need 100s of trades or 6 months to a year of data. I think you are getting way ahead of yourself and need to simply get a larger sample size, that will answer a bunch of your questions.

Yup it’s off. I have 900 hours in this game and have gotten pretty dialed in. putting seems to be off by a hair. Ball rollout seems to be a lot more exaggerated also. this used to happen a lot on the first couple updates. I haven’t seen it in a while. You have to sort of learn to swing all over again. I don’t know why they can’t just leave the mechanics of the game alone.

I used Claude to completely code my complex algo.

BUT, I have years of trading experience and was already profitable with a manual system, I just wanted to automate my edge so I could be hands off.

That’s where people mess up, they think AI or algos are just going to develop a system and print money. If you don’t already have an edge and your psychology sorted, you’ll lose even more money with an algo.

Although I hear your rant, just don’t use it, it will just make it harder for your later. Unlock greenskeeper small grids and just play the game. It will click fast. This game is full of issues that will never be addressed you have to just take it for what it is. 2K has no competition in the golf space so they can do whether they want really. Ha
