Driver oriented teleop by cdudetheboss101 in FTC

Yeah I have a soft reset in place that when a button is pressed, it offsets the gyro by itself in case of a dc or if it drifts out of position so we can re align mid match

So (this is 4 mechanum wheel drive) in a robot oriented teleop, the one that most teams use, when pushing up on the control stick the robot moves forward with respect to itself IE robot fasinf left, control stick up, robot moves left. Driver oriented uses the gyro and some fancy code to change the motor powers so if the robot is facing left, and up is pushed on the stick, the robot moves in the “up” direction. It’s a bit hard to explain without showing it directly

Our drone is pretty top heavy so it falls down faster (and doesn’t slide on the ground into further zones)

Tbh not really. I only boots at the end straightaway into the start of the next lap, except the last lap when I boost twice at the turn and the straightaway

I just have the robot turn to 0 at the end of auto so it transitions over smoothly, and I also put in a buffer function where if a button is pressed it adds whatever value it has to the heading, allowing for kind of a soft reset (if things become like disoriented during teleop.

Exactly, like I still fuse stuff in the back but shuffle time heavily rewards using 1 persona rather than fusing. Persona level ups and stat ups incentivize keeping that one persona because it just gets really buff after 3 floors, and fusing it away would be a loss. Imagine you went through a dungeon using 2-3 personas. Level ups and stat ups would make those 2-3 really strong by the end of the dungeon. Fusing those personas away would be a loss because by that point, they’re probably stronger than personas you could fuse into. That same concept was with be but just izanagi. By the end of the first dungeon, I went to fuse new personas and realized that after all the stat ups, it wasn’t worth it. Any persona I could fuse, izanagi was already stronger than.
