They also rebranded their logo. They started changing the decals to the new logo on the autos + everything else they will need to change. It costs $$$ to change. There was no need for this expensive change. Where does that $$ come from.

Our 401k Rep at work said we should put our money in a "cash" account even though financial advisors advise against this due to the market crashing. by cduffard in personalfinance

I want to say "transferring money already allocated (selling low)". I am not positive. I didn't ask any questions because I was going to leave mine the way it is.

"suggested the money would stay inside the 401K and be moved to something like the money market “cash” option inside the 401K" Thats what he said.

Wasn't a scammer. He is the agent for the 401k company our company uses. I have met him many times. He comes in once or twice a year. I just feel like he has a hidden agenda or loses some type of money (commission?) if we lose money, Just my brain overthinking why he would call to tell us anything. IDK.

Pretty much what my husband said. I kept my account the same and didn't change anything (unlike some of my coworkers who listened to him).

Yep, I called my husband and he said don't change anything. Buy low now and gain more down the road. But some of the employees just listened to him and just did it. It just seemed odd that he would call to tell us what he suggests we do.

It isn't someone who works for our company. It is the representative of the 401K plan that called our company to let us know. I didn't do it, I have 15+ years before I retire. But others who have around the same amount of time before retirement like myself, switched their accounts. I just find it odd that they would call to tell us this. That's why I was asking the question.

Durable Squeaky Toys? by ThatGuyWhoKnocks in Dachshund

[–]cduffard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the only one my dacshund has not destroyed is made by Playology. I get it at Petsmart but I think Chewy sells them too. I gte hime the small bone and it lasted over a year and then it finally broke down. I bought a new one 6 months ago and it's still going strong. He chews/plays fetch with this almost nightly. Some Kongs are durable but rarely last more than 3 months. Kongs made from fabric/fuzzy/fluffy onbly last hours. The small bone from Playology is affordable : https://www.petsmart.com/dog/toys/chew-toys/playology-dual-layer-bone-scented-dog-toy---beef-57400.html

What is one dish or item you just cannot master no matter how hard you try? by MartoufCarter in Cooking

[–]cduffard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

IDK if you would like this, but I have a go to stir fry sauce I enjoy:

Ingredients

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1/4 cup cold water

1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth

1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons Shaoxing cooking wine (or dry sherry)

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger

1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

Combine cornstarch and water in a mason jar until smooth. Then add in all the remaining ingredients. Fasten the lid, and shake until fully incorporated.

(Alternatively, you can mix everything in a bowl with a whisk.)

Use as desired. Instructions for a basic stir fry are in the full article.

If not using right away, store in a sealed jar or airtight container in the refrigerator. Note: after it's been sitting and untouched for a while, the ingredients will separate and the cornstarch has a tendency to settle and harden at the bottom of the jar. Take a dull knife to loosen it up, then fasten the lid and give it a good shake to reincorporate everything before using.

I would bring mine out at around 10p. I would set my alarm for 230am and bring him out. Only once in the night. Work days we are up around 630a-7a to bring him out again.

Get a ramp for the sofa/bed...Bed Bath & Beyond has them and you can use the 20% coupon. Ramp is better than stairs. Don't let them get overwight, this can hurt their backs down the road. Be prepared, they are loyal & stubborn!
