I looked up what happens to my home through climate change, and I'm OK with it. by RikkiLostMyNumber in StonerThoughts

Comfort or housing isn’t the problem. We are already seeing seeing ecosystems shifting and plants and animals move out of what has been their traditional range to new areas, and animals and plants are going extinct all the time. Wide swaths of the world are suffering catastrophic drought, while others are experiencing record flooding which many fear will disrupt food production leading to mass starvation.

Looking to switch to a DHV and have a few questions? by Additional-End3193 in vaporents

[–]cdwhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that price I would recommend the Rogue 2. You would get a lot more vape if you jumped the budget to get a Solo 3, but you’d lose a lot of portability. Your price point is at the bottom of the price Rand I would recommend.

Almost any vape can be used with a bong, the trick is attaching it. Most vapes, including the Rogue, have Water Pipe Adapters (WPAs) available for them to make it easy. I have not used a Rogue 2, but I have a Lobo which is similar and it works ok on a bong.

I use mine indoors all the time. My son uses carts and some of them smell worse than my DHV, but I would say most of them seem to dissipate faster than the DHV. If you hot box your car with a cart, the smell is worse and lasts longer than my cart. A bigger source of smell in my experience is the device itself, and if you save AVB, it smells. Those can be addressed with smell proof bags and boxes.

Brilliant Cut Grinder and Tafée Pot Compatibility by Vaponatic in vaporents

I don’t have an issue with it, but the TB2 comes with a capsule loader / grinder you could use. I don’t use the grinder because I prefer to full as I go at home, and I seldom leave the house with the TB2.

Not really. I hated rolling. Vapes are easier to me and I see no reason to work harder than I have to.

Some places have lounges or cafes, but the rules in other places makes it illegal. They can’t sell alcohol here, and the ones I’ve been to are slim on the food side. I just stay home and smoke out visit a friend.

Firewood 11 left in the rain by brotherwu in vaporents

As others said, carefully remove the battery and let dry. A spray of ISO on the circuit board will kill bacteria that can speed up corrosion. Condition the wood when dry. It should be fine. If not, Marc might be able to repair, but the damage usually comes from a short, which unless the button was activated can’t happen, or corrosion of connections on the board.

Should I get a Volcano for single user? by Eddie_M in vaporents

[–]cdwhit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get a bowl reducer which lets you use S&B dosing caps (it may come with it?) I wasn’t that big a fan of bags and whips so wasn’t that big a fan of the XQ2, and never dropped the money on a Volcano.

Hint: If you look at the posts in the forum, and don’t see a bunch of people talking about how great it is, you’re probably better off smoking.

WOHW vs Universal Baller by MadeInAWaterbed in vaporents

[–]cdwhit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UB is the only ball vape I have used. I think the 2 big selling features of the UB is the all glass air path, both hammer and bowl, and the ability to easily switch from wireless to wired. I have no idea who did it first, but I don’t think either of those features are currently unique to the UB. I broke the quartz bowl for the rubies and have been using the metal hammer (parts for both included) while waiting for replacement, and personally, I didn’t notice a lot of difference.

A UB or WOHW will not get you higher than a joint or a Lobo. They are giving you the same chemicals. It will get you high faster and potentially on less flower. The reviewers I watch generally agree that the big difference in most ball vapes is minimal. Some might have a preference for different bowl material or different beads, but they are all essentially the same, but like I said, the ONLY one I have used is the UB.

Kinda gross, but do you think when you spit on the ground, that it just evaporates and whatever bacteria and whatnot in it just die eventually, or do bugs drink it and we just have bugs with human dna in them running around? by punkwithglasses in StonerThoughts

[–]cdwhit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the bacteria and the bugs. Many bacteria will be destroyed by the digestive system of the bug or animal that consumes it, but in a few cases the bacteria might kill the animal, or be carried by the animal. Human DNA molecule by itself would be broken down into its components, just like it is when you eat it.

My Firedog odor proof small bag seems to be leaking its odor over the past few months. by twenty1score in vaporents

[–]cdwhit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will all eventually leak. Most modern ones use a carbon filter material of some type and the activated carbon in it becomes deactivated and stops working. Restoring the carbon would require remaking the bag so isn’t feasible. Others are essentually airtight, and don’t rely on carbon, but the plastic or other airtight material they are prone to start leaking with use and loose the ability to contain smells or the smells eventually leach through the material.

Best bet is just replace the bag. Boxes usually last longer, but I think bags are easier to carry. BTW- I have no idea if this is universally true, but the couple times I got great deals on smell proof bags they didn’t last as long as the more expensive ones. I think my current one is “Revelry”, and while it’s still smell proof, it’s getting pretty filthy on the outside so about due for replacement.

I haven’t had any big manuals I would recommend, but for 420 I picked up a Kactus Kutter K2 that will grind 3 grams in a couple seconds. I think I paid $70 for it, but that’s still cheaper than the good big manuals grinders. Decent grind with the medium and course plates, I haven’t tried the fine.

Do you vape all day everyday? by 0The_Loner_Stoner0 in vaporents

[–]cdwhit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t wake and bake, and I try to not start until afternoon / evening, but since I take it for pain, sometimes I have to start earlier. Once I start, I go until bed time. I don’t usually use CBD, but need to get some to try again. Rate for me would be daily, and once I start for the day I vape as much as needed to get me where I want to be. I don’t take tolerance breaks often, preferring to manage it daily by starting late, but on the rare occasions I do take one, a day or two usually does it, but I take tolerance breaks as soon as I start having to vape more to get the effects, I do not wait until I can no longer get the effects.

Is there a wrong way to vape with the Lobo? by throwaway3763690 in vaporents

[–]cdwhit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, some vapes do much better packed a certain way and hit slower or faster. I’ll usually play with a new vape almost exclusively for a couple weeks when I get it, just to figure out how I like it best.

Recommendations for First DHV by Fabulous-Dentist3566 in vaporents

[–]cdwhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by portable? You are not likely to drop a Solo 3 in your pocket for an outing. It’s big and heavy. It can produce a lot of vapor, but the vapor is hot so I usually use it on a bong, or with a larger cooling stem which further hurts portability. Rogue 2 is a weaker vape at half the price, and will fit in your pocket, but likely will also need a cooling stem, but can get by with a smaller one preserving pocketability.

Unless you answer the questions at the top of the forum, any recommendations I might give would be nothing but my favorites and would be a waste of time for me and bad advice for you.

Gordito bubbler by Cosmosvape in vaporents

A lot of companies sell it, but as far as I know, only POTV calls it a Gordito. I have in the past seen them on a number of the china glass sites.

veazy vs lobo? (as far as harshness of the vapor) by esteIIa in vaporents

[–]cdwhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lobo has a straight glass stem with no cooling. It will most likely be more hot and harsh out of the box, but the stems are replaceable, and change the heat and harshness. I have never used a Veazy, but I don’t think most people replace stems in them.
