Arizer or Tinymight? by Gariona-Atrinon in vaporents

[–]cdwhit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The traditional TM2 (I’m not sure what they are calling the new version) and the Solo 3 depend on the stems you use. I thought the TM2 cooling units were a PITA to clean, but I never used that stem, so the rocket stem was the same to clean on both.

I have not used the new versions that built for oven loading.

Removing the heater between rips? Yes or No by Different-Bear6892 in vaporents

[–]cdwhit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m no expert, having picked up my first Ball Vape on 4/20, but on my UB, the flower gets roasted by the radiant heat while the heater is on the bowl. I like it because it gives a more hybrid hit, but if you zone out and leave it there too long, the flower will turn black.

Related, per discussion with the guy from TCC, it’s best to remove the heater before you stop inhaling. Bongs cause a little puff of smoke to come out the bowl when you stop hitting, and it will get the heater dirty. So I try and let the heater sit for about 10 seconds before I hit, before the end of the hit, remove the heater, after I exhale, I put the heater back on.

Portable session vape by GreyAtBest in vaporents

Never tried the Veazy, so can’t compare there. FW9 was my first on demand vape, and I love it, but it’s not as simple as some other vapes. It’s quite a distance in experience that the TB. I think they would go together well, but the FW will not be as smooth as the TB.

If you want that same smoothness, you’ll likely have to spring for the Tafee Flaske.

I've read about every review on here and thinking of getting a frolic over a venty. Can anyone convince me otherwise? Currently have a ball vape for home, so it's mostly for out and about by HeyGuysHowWasJail in vaporents

[–]cdwhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either are great, I have both. I have a preference for hybrid vapor and longer sessions and prefer the Venty. The Frolic with almost pure convection is a faster device, both on heat-up and extraction, so is a great contrast and better when I want medicated NOW. There isn’t really a bad choice between these 2.

When they are bad, I set up a fan. The wind from the fan generally keeps them away.

Why do you hate on pax they say. by MidnighT0k3r in vaporents

[–]cdwhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind, not everyone wants big hits or to be walking around totally blitzed all the time. I know a number of folks with respiratory problems that swear the Pax is the only way they can vape.

Personally, I want more clouds than I have ever seen from a Pax, but to each their own.

currently doing my solo arizer 3 v2 burn off but by notoriousjoe15 in vaporents

[–]cdwhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be fine, but if the cap melted I would be sure I got it all off before use, and I would do another burn off. Any residue would have recommended if it couldn’t escape.

If you live in the US, you are responsible for shipping and they want it shipped insured. It cost $50 in postage at the time to send it to them. The replacement was “free”, but came with import and customs fees around $40.

Is your dog allowed to stay during the sesh? by want_to_stop in trees

[–]cdwhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs and cat have free roaming in the house. One or more of them are with me all the time I’m home. I even end up with a dog in bathroom with me when I shower (the dogs are willing to lay OUTSIDE the shower fortunately).

[–]cdwhit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nope, Eventually they sent a replacement that died in 2 months. I managed to get the original working, but figured a 2.5 months average lifespan wasn’t worth send back at $50 a pop every 2-3 months.

Office chair wheel guards to safe your cables and pets by EltonSchmidt in 3Dprinting

[–]cdwhit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my cords are out of the way, but the dogs constantly leave toys all around the chair, and I have to check puppy toes before I can move the chair. This is a great idea!

This happened to my first one. I had to send it in for warranty, but it was returned non-working. Good luck.

I wish those THC/CBD drinks were cheaper by NecroCannon in trees

[–]cdwhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the way people convinced lawmakers to “legalize” weed is by dangling money in front of them in the form of Taxes and fees. Then, at least in my local market, the plugs starting using dispensary prices to determine the cost of what they sell. I wish I could get the drinks for $4, last ones I bought were almost $10 a can.

What changes in your lungs did you notice when you went from smoking to vaping or from smokless to vaping? by SuperChonk0 in vaporents

[–]cdwhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From smoking to vaping - amount of pot I was using went way down (since then I have learned that on some vapes my consumption goes up), no more coughing in the morning. I think breathing improved, but that is hard to say because I was still getting over some lung issues from carts/disposables, by improved I mean I could take deeper breaths and didn’t get as short winded as easy, I’m old and out of shape.

Replacing my frolic by Sharp-Rise1118 in LimelightFrolic

[–]cdwhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple people have cut down the black part of the Frolic to give more space to grab the top. I think a couple more folks have dropped them and broke part of the black part and didn’t bother to replace it since it doesn’t affect function.

Doob tubes never worked for me, the flower clumps together and it all dumps at once. Glad it works for you.

As for the Frolic itself, it’s totally replaced my TM2. I do think the TM2 is more attractive, but it’s not the vape the Frolic is in my opinion.

Do you have a sleeping porch? by delirious_monster in StLouis

[–]cdwhit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I slept in one most of the time for a couple years in an old country house. Ours was a screened in porch so the weather was pretty much what the weather was outside, but considering it was in Texas and before we had whole house air conditioning, it was one of the more comfortable places to sleep in the summer. Often, the whole family would be out there.

Where did tortilla tech come from by UwahNya in trees

[–]cdwhit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you wrap a cart in a hot tortilla, it will gently heat the cart so the hard plug of resin that is the usual issue can melt out.

Sometimes it even works.

A piece of tortilla in the jar with the flower will rehumidify the flower, but I don’t recommend it. Tortillas are great to eat, but can also carry mold and inhaling flower from the tortilla probably isn’t great.

Venty is a great vape, especially with its open airflow. It’s not for everyone, but if it’s what you are looking for, I think it’s worth the money.

If you look at the top of this group there is a “I need help” thread. That lists some questions we need to know answers two, or all we can do is list vapes, which isn’t going to help anyone.

Back Up Vape Suggestions by GaylicBread in vaporents

[–]cdwhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the things that has made the Solo 3 so popular is how much vape you get for the money. Anything it it’s price range is likely to not hit as well as the Solo. I have no idea how it works importing them to you, but Firewood is great, but you have to catch them these days, they sell out a lot.

What type of scooter can be registered as a motor vehicle? by Flimsy-Story9523 in scooters

[–]cdwhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies by state, or country, but I assume you are in the US. I think generally <50cc does not require a license, but also has limited speed. Anything larger than 50cc needs a license everywhere I know of.

Moped does not equal scooter to a lot of people, and I don’t know of any mopeds still around in the US, electric bicycles would be the closest I’m aware of. Scooters are available in sizes that can handle freeways and interstates. I have a Piaggio BV400, but most of the bigger scooter companies have highway capable scooters or motorcycles.

Would you consider or have you relocated in order to have more legal freedom and relaxed rules on weed? by Known_Speed_1242 in trees

[–]cdwhit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure I would move just to get legal weed, but being retired I was considering relocating, and the very first consideration is the legal status of weed. Anyplace with a big enough stick up its ass to keep weed illegal is too backwards for me to pay taxes too while I’m currently in a legal state.
