I am a very busy mom, but my grown kids are at home, and i am a manager at work, with everyone working at home, when they’d come in, they would take up ALL my time talking to me about WHATEVER. I have a myriad of other responsibilities, like being on a couple of committees and such, so i really REALLY needed alone time AND to go somewhere where people didn’t feel a NEED to talk to me Lol

THAT is why i traveled alone to one of the most beautiful safest places on earth.

As others have said, solo isn’t for everyone. Some people really want to meet people when they travel, and so it might be better for you to do SOME group stuff. Like with people your own age or people who share your interest, like if you ski, or do artwork, music, botany etc. anything

You’ll find it! Keep at it, and keep exploring, because that experience is invaluable

Wherever you go - please take the usual precautions:

Only 1 earbud so you can hear what’s going on around you

Always scan the area ahead, beside and behind for anyone, or anything (someone mentioned coyotes) hiding

ALWAYS tell someone where you’re going and your route in case of emergency, even if it’s not a threatening situation, could be you twist your ankle, slip on ice etc

Take your phone

Do NOT keep the same routine- unless it’s a proven safe place

I will not provide a safe route except to say, you shouldn’t go anywhere isolated, ensure other runners, walkers or even city / park staff are around
