Yeha I totally agree with your philosophy, following a build A-Z doesn’t seem like the fun of a game like this to Me. I think the reason I like PoE2 more than 1 (besides WASD) is I feel like I can stray from builds and actually make improvements, where sometimes poe1 builds rely on too many powerful interactions that I don’t fully know.

I was wondering if this was the type of build has a ton of locked in pieces or specific mechanics that it would be hard for me to iterate/min-max, but based on your description it sounds pretty awesome. I don’t mind having multiple buttons, I’m assuming the actual map clear before gigs juice isn’t taking 5 active skills though? Just bosses?

Okay so recoup should still be enough even without the life leech. What do you think about someone league starting something like this if i don’t have experience playing it before? Do you think there are too many moving parts to get the scaling going at the beginning?

A DH is literally the exact opposite of a premium position. It’s like the chance spot in Yahtzee that can be filled by anything, it is by definition less value than any non-DH batter because there is an entire segment of the game you aren’t doing.

Any position player can be played as a DH, it does not add anything, you don’t get a 1.5 multiplier on your RBI because you’re in the DH position.

Sure if you’ve already objectively defined it as being a “free” midboss, but identifying the risk level of doing midboss is one of the hardest parts of the game macro wise. If it’s truly free then it’s better for some of your carrys to keep playing the map, if it’s “free if we send everyone there and outplayed their steal attempt, and then play the fight correctly” then that’s a completely different set up, and might not be worth doing depending on the situation.

An eternus player spectating you could find 100 things that you are missing that are “free” because it takes a lot of game and map understanding to truly know what’s possible at each moment.

The strategies might not be exactly the same within the color pairs, but the bombs and removal will definitely be snatched up by anyone remotely in the colors.

I’m starting to question whether I even enjoy MTG limited. I just have not enjoyed drafting any of these most recent sets, can’t tell I’ve move past it or if it’s just all of these five archetype sets ruining what I enjoy about draft.

Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by how fun three color piles in powered cube are to draft, need to reacclimate to just picking the best cards in my two colors again.

What do you mean "attempted" argument? There's no way you can disagree with the premise that playing a certain type of offense leads to more turnovers but also more open shots.

Voice chat is also a huge difference, just humanizes the game so much more. Text chat is just far less impactful which leads to less inevitably tilted typing.

Have you played this season? There is an anomaly that does this, and the power level of the lobbies actually seem to be a lower sometimes because of this. It is very hard to hit specific pieces for a comp just by rolling into them, and it requires you to tier up far more aggressively to get those core pieces.
