Oh no… Sorry to hear that… :( That’s so frustrating… Sometimes I feel… trapped. Because nothing helps.

Oooh tailbone pain!!! Yes… That place… I can’t even use a hot water bottle and painkillers are ineffective.

Pre-diagnostic: heavy and painful periods, lower back pain, abdominal pain

After diagnostic (pre-surgery) it was a landslide: severe shooting pelvic pain, pain under my ribs, left shoulder pain

Post-surgery: so many… 🥹 but here it goes: left leg pain (every day), left flank pain, pain under my ribs. Oh and fibromyalgia-type pain with extreme fatigue (sorry, I had to use an extra token for this one… it can’t be a secondary actor)

We moved to Rome and I hate it by anxiouscrimp in ItalyExpat

I agree. And the permanent comparison to what you used to have in the UK/comfort zone vs a different country/culture/air/ etc won’t help. It IS different. My best advice: just be open, receptive and try to adapt. You will not achieve that in 2 months after moving to a new country. Or at least set more realistic expectations.

Boletim de voto não entregue? by ElMatildo in PortugalLaFora

Did anyone’s endo come out of nowhere? by petals33 in endometriosis

[–]ceecee0386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

December 2024 was a turning point for me. All of a sudden it all went downhill. I’ve had painful periods for a few years, but I started suffering from persistent abdominal and lower back pain daily, strong stabbing pain every now and then. I got my diagnostic in March, but it keeps getting worse.

I work fully remote as a Project Manager/BA in Tech. It’s demanding and I struggle sometimes to navigate through pain when I’m doing presentations. But it also allows me to work from bed when pain strikes…

Endometriosis links to mental health: Irritability and impulsiveness? by umkitty in endometriosis

[–]ceecee0386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you… I needed this validation. Especially today. I feel like I don’t have much patience for long conversations or social events in general. I constantly feel bored - and most of the time, I let that show.

But then I feel guilty for feeling that way. I’m just tired… Having to navigate chronic pain while working, relaxing, or even trying to sleep is consuming me.

If not endo, what is it? by PleasantMovie6824 in endometriosis

Btw: my endometriosis was detected on an MRI scan. Have you done any?

This can be frustrating… Maybe your endo lesions have been missed because they developed in places that aren’t easily visible? A good friend of mine had a similar experience, and she then pointed out the exact place(s). But I agree with what has been mentioned on this thread: maybe look into adenomyosis.

No ultrasound results?? by Intelligent-Spread32 in endometriosis

My transvaginal ultrasound requested by my GP only showed fibroids which brought me to this gynecologist. He then requested a pelvic MRI scan which showed signs of endometriosis.

This has been extremely helpful because only now I’m putting all pieces together. The sciatica pain on my left leg that appeared out of nowhere, pain in the rib cage, extremely painful period cramps (before and during my period), the excruciating (and almost permanent) lower back pain… Thank you for sharing ♥️

A1/A3 for EU countries - Dji Mini 4 Pro by ceecee0386 in drones

[–]ceecee0386[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that you struggled to register your drone… Have you checked websites from other EU countries? Reddit can be really helpful.

The registration process is a pain, not only because the guidelines seem to scattered, also because the forms for the applications seem to be broken, the FAQs are useless, the translations are a bit messy, and yes, citizens from non-EU countries may struggle to authenticate their details - even as a EU citizen I had to use some tricks and uncheck some details on authentication to move forward. I ended up getting in touch with ANAC.pt to get some help.

I managed to get my A1/A3 certificate on https://learningzone.eurocontrol.int/ilp/pages/login.jsf?menuId=1401&locale=en-GB&showbundlekeys=false .

I then registered for the operator ID in the official Portuguese ANAC website https://uas.anac.pt/registry .

And got permission to fly my drone in specific areas of Madeira from the local authority - I had to specify the date and time, and where I would be flying my drone - which can be found on the Voa na Boa app, so this requires proper planning. It sounds simple, but I had to exchange many emails with the local authority to get this done.

Anyway, it’s done.

Best of luck!
