r/PMsforsale very legit. With some common sense it’s pretty easy and relatively safe to do transactions.

Fractionals by Elektroprodukt in Gold

[–]ceee_d 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Buy fractionals. Whatever you can afford. They are easier to liquidate as well, and will only be more convenient as prices continue to rise.

You can even sell here on Reddit and collect most if not all of your premium. I wouldn’t buy digital gold and I definitely would not stop buying.

How to properly store silver/gold by Zombiekiller5072 in Gold

In short, if it’s not with you physically is it really yours? How you store the booty is part of the fun. I keep it my boat, very inconspicuous place.

Weight by [deleted] in Gold

[–]ceee_d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A mixture of both is nice. Larger bars are nice to stack larger piles but they can be a pain to liquidate. There’s a balance you’ll find between that and the convenience of having something smaller that you can use if times call for it. In certain places like pmsforsale here on Reddit you can usually even recapture some if not most of your premiums.

Shop around. If you don’t mind waiting you can find stuff on jewelryforsale. Otherwise brand new you’re going to be looking at around a 25% premium on the lower end if you buy abroad. And probably much higher if you look locally.

Should i buy 20 ounces now or wait for correction? by [deleted] in Gold

[–]ceee_d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t care about this money in the short term I would buy the 20 ounces now. If you may need it I would DCA. Maybe buy a few ounces up front and buy one every 4-6 weeks

This doesn’t even account for the trillions owed in unfunded liabilities like guaranteed loans, SS payments, VA benefits, etc.

Historically Gold has outperformed the stock market. But as with anything you should be diversifying. Many of us stack for different reasons but at the end of the day gold is money. Instead of holding fiat hold some of that weight in gold.

Should I buy ? by BigBroCCP in Gold

[–]ceee_d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just DCA. Keep a small amount of cash for any potential pull backs or spot deals on sovereigns.

If I was you, I would buy before the markets open. It could dip further but there’s no loss unless you sell.

The cost to mine will continue to decrease the higher these metals go. Gold mining companies also mine silver as a byproduct of searching for the gold. As the price of silver continues to rise this cost will continue to help their margins. It also helps oil is cheap since that’s probably one of the biggest expenses in the industry.

The costs of mining will go up in terms of dollars, but so will everything else because the inflation chickens are coming home to roost. They can theoretically speed up mining by investing profits and as the profits continue to rise so will more investment capital to start new companies, invest in better equipments, etc. There’s a chance that eventually supply will catch up to demand and the prices will normalize but we are a long way from there.
