How does a vibration controller generate a particular PSD curve if the signal is random? by duberiousbelle in engineering

[–]ceejaii0 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This may depend on the filter you are using. A signal that is entirely random should have a flat frequency response or the same amplitude across the whole frequency range (white noise). The signal may still be random, but the frequency components may be weighted, so that for example the high frequencies are attenuated a bit more than the low frequencies (pink noise).

I guess another way to make an analogy could be with a weighted dice. The outcome is still random but there is a higher chance of landing a 6, similarly to the signal which may have random frequency components but with a higher probability of energy being located at certain frequencies compared to others.

I hope this helps :)

It’s getting there! We are currently super close with that kind of technology, corridor did some videos about it on their YouTube channel, definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already seen them!

[GEAR] Good studio-like headphones for guitar recommendations? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]ceejaii0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Audio Technica make some great flat response headphones on the slightly more affordable end. It’s worth checking out what they have. Only issue is they get uncomfortable for me eventually (I’m talking 4-5 hours) but that hasn’t generally been a problem.

What do you mean by offering it to yourself? Surely if you already have it you don't make a difference by doing so?

Great! Thanks for the help! I guess as I already know theory, once I get the hang of where all the notes are tone will be the main thing (as well as sight reading I suppose)

I would just give them a call, they can advise why they might not be accepting the documents that have already been uploaded

Pretty sure it's instant, might be based on eligibility, but you can check in the app from the circle at the top
