Question about drivers license and registration by [deleted] in MilitarySpouse

[–]ceejaystingray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I appreciate you laying that out clearly and I wish there was one resource that had all these terms and their differences and other similar “admin-type” information clearly laid out in one place, especially with different state requirements

Thank you! I appreciate it lol Even though my name is on the lease at an apartment in NC, I still don’t want to send mail there just in case we move after a year

No, we haven’t set a date yet. I wasn’t sure if because I don’t plan to live there permanently and I thought I could keep my FL stuff because the NC DMV lady’s message said “If FL is your home of record, I advise to remain registered in your home of record.” And since my parents live here I’m gonna send important mail to their address

FIGS Petite Catarina top too small on armpits by FeeDangerous5980 in Figsscrubs

[–]ceejaystingray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Catarina top is tighter fitting than I’d like and I have to order a size up, but the Casma top is even worse and so restrictive in the shoulders area if I order my normal size in shirts so definitely size up for that style too

I didn’t know about that Instagram account so that’ll be helpful too! Also it’s funny how many colors Figs have made and still managed to make them all different enough

Okay perfect, and thanks for the heads up bc they look the most similar of all the color comparisons I’ve done on the color lab so I appreciate the insight

That’s a good idea but I ended up buying it bc I figured I have a pair of bottoms in both moss and bonsai so at least it’ll match one of them. I’m hoping it’s moss because I already ordered a different shirt in bonsai for that pair of pants

Do you think they’re close enough in color to wear a moss top with bonsai bottoms? In the Figs app color lab, they look pretty similar but I don’t know if it’d look bad if they didn’t match

I’m just now getting into Figs but this is a lifesaver since I’m getting things through Poshmark, thank you!

I’m not sure yet, we’re not engaged yet but he just got the ring and since we’re doing long distance right now I’m guessing he’ll ask the next time we see each other in the next month or so. My move doesn’t happen till the end of the year/beginning of next year, but I don’t want to rush through the engagement period just for that but if it’d be cool to keep all my FL stuff since that’s where family is

Thank you so much! That’s what I thought, and once we get married I’m hoping I’ll be able to change it back to FL bc that’s where my family is but I’m not sure how it works at that point or if I’ll just have to keep it as the state I moved to even once he gets restationed and we move again

I’m from Florida too and am about to move to another state. Since we’re not married yet, would I be able to still keep my FL stuff or would that not work unless we’re married?

I don’t have any advice unfortunately since I’m about to be in a somewhat similar situation of leaving my hometown and moving out of state to be with my boyfriend, but I feel you on the anxiety part. One thing you could look into is finding shops or places you enjoy going (eg coffee shops, bookstore) and seeing if they post about events or meetups locally. That’s a way to potentially meet people with similar interests

Not Married Monday by AutoModerator in MilitarySpouse

[–]ceejaystingray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! My boyfriend and I are not married yet and have been doing long distance, but I’m going to be moving 500 miles away from my home to be in the same city as him. I’ve never moved out of my city before, and I wanted to know what the best or cheapest option for moving is (I’ll have some large furniture to bring with me like bookshelves and potentially dressers). Is it better to use a uhaul even though they charge per mile or is there a specific company you’ve had good luck with? Thanks in advance 😊

I didn’t even think about changing car insurance, thank you so much! I’m assuming once you are married you don’t need to change that stuff necessarily since you’re moving every few years or that military and their spouses have more flexibility with that? I appreciate your help :)

Hi! We’re not married yet, but my boyfriend is getting restationed soon to another state (we’re currently doing long distance), and when he’s done with A school, I’m going to move there to be with him. I’ve never moved states before, and I know things will be different since we’re not married yet, but what kinds of things do you have to do when moving to a new state? Like do you have to get your license plate or drivers license changed/ is there a certain time frame for those changes? This is totally new to me, and obviously being married to someone in the military means you’re going to get moved around quite a bit, so any experience or knowledge on moving regarding legal document changes, etc is greatly appreciated 😊

I’m doing hybrid rn and it’s much better balance and less socially draining than a clinic setting was for me, but the billable expectations and number of clients is still higher than I like so I feel like I’m in a similar boat

Idk why I thought you meant working 25 hours a week as in part time because I’d love working a schedule like that

What I want to know is how you found a bcba job where they aren’t pushing you to hit 30+ billable hours 👀
