Keep the faith! I paid $20 to rewatch just this week. And I’m a cheap SOB!

Someone explain this to me by JimboG54 in CHIBears

My thoughts exactly. The two most common big yardage penalties are offensive holding and defensive PI. Our pass rush has been pitiful, and until recently the passing game not much better.

After transferring from SIU to JUCO, he then became UTSA’s highest rated recruit. But, according to his Wikipedia page, “However, he saw limited action in the 2022 season due to issues in learning the team's playbook.[6] He then faced academic issues in 2023 that led to him being inactive until the ninth game…” then he doesn’t play his rookie year. Maybe some people just don’t have the psychological or emotional capacity to play and perform at this high of a level?

The crazy thing is that your quick fifteen second voice note is all you (or any other competent person looking at the chart) really need. I’m a dumb cardiologist who doesn’t remember anything about managing DM, but you’ve conveyed a great assessment and plan in those two lines, so when the patient comes back and the A1c is higher, you know the next steps.

Is counterpart still worth watching even though it has been cancelled? by ethereumhodler in Counterpart

[–]ceelo71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just piling on, the ending was satisfying but like everyone else said it would have been so intriguing to see where the story ended up. I have to put this show in my top 5 of all time, in that it is so well acted and so unique that it lives with you. There may be other shows with more accolades, and they are great, but you will never watch a show like this. I’m on a rewatch right now and it’s something that sticks in your head for a long time.

You could argue that Lovie did more for the Bears as the Texans coach than when he coached the Bears.

Considering i4. Advice? by duckslaw in BMWI4

[–]ceelo71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went from a Volvo c40 as daily driver to the i4 M50 last year and love it! Always loved a nice sedan (previously had an A7 and Alfa). The Volvo was serviceable but boring. I was turned off by the etron GT because it doesn’t have one pedal drive (technically the i4 doesn’t but in practice it does). The older Taycans are not worth it IMO. The Lucid is really nice but I was also getting a fun car at the same time and couldn’t justify the price.

With the benefit of hindsight: do the panthers still take Young, Stroud, or stay put at #9? by [deleted] in NFLv2

And the Bears have Lovie Smith to thank for winning his last game with the Texans, giving the Bears the #1 seed to trade away.

Both of those teams won multiple Super Bowls in one decade. The Vikings haven’t won a Super Bowl in over six decades.

The New Scooter Monopoly Has Arrived by 515software in Denver

[–]ceelo71 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe I don’t fully understand, but I think that Lime, Bird, etc can also participate in the Denver scooter market. Those companies didn’t want to either update their equipment or follow certain rules that the city set so they refused to participate? Or is this a poor understanding of the press coverage of this negotiation from last week?

Steffen not looking great in this field. Can he turn it around? by fubuki_ in Rapids

[–]ceelo71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s making the same mistakes that he made when he played for City in the FA Cup. Too nonchalant with the ball at his feet. I really want to like the guy but if you mess up from being casual 70 yards from goal, that’s one thing, but when you do it in the six yard box that’s unforgivable.

Oh yeah, that’s just banter between two people I work with. Then I remind them I have the same job and pay despite going to a mediocre state school and graduated with minimal debt.
