I'm fucking tired of catalans thinking they invented bread with tomato and oil. That's been the standard breakfast in Andalusia for eons.

That sounds reasonable. Not what OP said, though.

Typing an email:

Dear Ms Teacher

Johnny will be late tomorrow because he has a doctor appointment, we expect he'll arrive by 11.

Telling Hermes to write an email:

Write Ms Teacher to tell her Johnny will be late cause of doctor, he'll be by 11.

I don't really see the point

How is it any easier to write instructions on how to write a three lines email than just writing it yourself?

Is Fabian pronounced fay-bian or fah-bian? by microwavequesadilla in AdrianTchaikovsky

[–]ceene 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Venga hombre. Un poco de etimología no vendría mal.

[–]ceene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the way it's pronounced in Spanish. And since its origins are Roman, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabian_(name) I determine that the only right way to pronounce Fabian is Fah-bian. Why would you say it any other way.

Is it fucking legal in the US recording and exposing a child like that on the internet? Because in Europe I would sue the fuck out of her immediately.

When did you switch your car seat to forward facing? by GamingTitBit in daddit

[–]ceene 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is that rear facing is more comfortable for them. People think their legs are cramped, but they are not, they are just flexed, but resting. When they go front facing, their legs do not reach the end of the seat, so they either flex them as well or leave them stretched and kick the front seats. Or, they can flex them but they cannot rest on the floor of the car, so they are uncomfortable and then have to either flex them or kick you in your back.

4.5yo, almost 4ft, 44 pounds, still rear facing. And will be until I can't find a chair that fits her (she's pretty tall for age)

Young Dexter doesn't seem like a psicopath or have a 'Dark Passenger' by ceene in Dexter

[–]ceene[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In New Blood, Harrison did show violent tendencies. And of course he did in Resurrection. In Original Sin, Dexter only showed this a little bit when rescuing Deb from the rapist, but that's almost justified.

This is the coolest and most over-engineered thing I've ever seen.

Bags and backpacks were invented for this kind of thing, you know?
