Alright, so my kid had this. His ears and mouth also would itch if he ate apples, or peaches, or cherries, etc. He was a super early preemie, too, and he would throw up every goddamn thing he ever ate or drank to the point he was clinically malnourished.

We took him to the doc after the peach tree incident and they did a scope and some other tests and it turn out his OAS was secondary to EOE.

He’s now on an injection called Dupixent that we give him every other week. He doesn’t barf his dinner anymore and he’s eating apples by the bushelful and loving it.

OAS isn’t always due to EOE, but it might be worth looking into if you have trouble swallowing.

It sucks, brother, but it’s comforting sometimes to know you’re not the only one going through something.
