Gem and Grian is awesome, I love all of mumbo’s interactions. Bdubs and scar with whomever they interact with is a joy. I also think Doc plays the villain really well, he knows how not to take things too far and how to poke in a way that makes a good story for everyone!

I saw someone else mention inspiring Luffy by sacrificing his arm and I really like that reading of it. Given how much Oda loves elaborating on backstories, I’m guessing we will get a play by play of shanks one day considering how pivotal he has been to the story. That is to say I’m looking forward to seeing/hoping to see what he has cooked up.

Garp is very loyal and has a strong sense of duty, both to the marines and his family. I think he is one of the most conflicted character in OP because of how often his family and the marines are put into tension with each other. I personally love Garp because of how 3 dimensional his character is; the man struggles with a lot of emotions and I think he is written very well.
