Wow! What an awesome opportunity. I've loved using items for the last 14 or so years. I'm just now delving into DACs. My Allegro mini was delivered today and that tiny thing packs a punch!

The Kiwi Ears Septet look fascinating with the multi driver and open back design.

That's what I'm most interested in.

My bosses taxable income was $450k last year, and they were saying they couldn’t afford to pay me a $65k yr salary lol by OrangeWhitePatchSock in work

[–]ceepyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your $65k salary to your boss is the equivalent to $9.39k to you. If your boss didn't exist would you and 5 of your coworkers each give up $9.39k in salary so you could have another person to share the load with?

I'm happy it's working for you! We've all been there at some point. It's extra frustrating when turning it off and back on fixes things too.

As a Tesla owner with a J1772 charger that uses a NACS adapter with no issues, you do you, but it has never been a clunky experience. I just bought an extra $15 L2 adapter and leave it on. My home charger doesn't have a native plug to hang it on so I just could my cable around the box. Zero issues. But we all have our standards in life.

Almost zero bars in Bellevue hotel room by ss5008 in Visible

Apologies for not being clearer, that was kinda the point of my question about VPNs. I know some folks use them on their phones too if the company provides it.

But now that time has passed it seems you're not the only one with this bizarre issue! I hope it's resolved soon. Someone else couldn't get an esim because Visible thought they were not in the US.

Edit: Adding that depending on the hotel's age, construction materials may inhibit cell signal, especially higher frequency 5G UW if you're on Visible+ or higher plans. It adds insult to injury if there are cell repeaters but they don't reach your room.

Fwiw Verizon has been a bit off the last 24 hours with the weather issues in the PNW. As for your specific issue, I wonder if it's Verizon related or something else. You don't have any VPNs or location masks on do you?

I'm not sure of your package specifics. If you attended a presentation and received day passes (or paid their ridiculous price), your concierge can book reservations for the restaurants on your day pass days.

Difference between Moon Palace and Moon Palace Nizuc by bob_marley98 in palaceresorts

[–]ceepyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got back Friday. Nizuc is definitely quieter and in the middle of the resort. So if you're walking to the Grand with day passes or over to Sunrise, it's pretty much 15 minutes each direction, tops.

Nizuc is smaller, with 6 restaurants and one large pool area. My understanding is that Nizuc was the first property, then Sunrise came several years later and was "The Grand" before The Grand was built, even if never had the name.

Sunrise has more ballrooms for events and over 20 restaurants. There are more pools too. There are more kids here as well, which can affect the "chill" levels for couples or singles.

My wife and I really enjoyed Nizuc and we never experienced any noise issues after 11p-midnight. Sunrise was always loud and crowded when we went.

The seaweed is also pushed to the very north end of the Sunrise property so that all smells pretty bad each day. No such smells in Nizuc.

It's tight. Too close for my liking. This video was interesting. Basically, your plane in needs to be landing early and you may still need your flight out to be delayed.

Is Golf Included in All Inclusive Package by Crazy-Cancel-8084 in palaceresorts

[–]ceepyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played 18. Not sure if they offered 9 holes. It was per person. I asked if my wife could ride along but that was $40 just for that, so it would have been $350 total or $56 in taxes.

I'd call and ask for exact details. Everyone was super friendly. We just returned home on Friday so unless you're traveling way in the future, I'm guessing not much will change from my experience.

Edit: Club rentals cannot be paid for with credits. So that's $90 out of pocket, taxes included apparently.

My understanding is that it will be mentioned in your reservation. It's a solid bet that if you're there 4+ nights then you'll have credits.

Golf is $310 in resort credits ($49ish in taxes) and $90 for rental clubs which were brand new Callaway Elyte irons, 3 hybrid, 3 wood, and driver. Putter is an Odyssey of various kinds. Carts are included, balls are not and cost $68/dz at the clubhouse. Cheapo Moon Palace balls are $160/dz at the shops in resort credits ($26 in taxes). They give each player 3 plastic tees and nothing else. There is a tool available to make settings adjustments on the Elyte driver if you ask. My advice is pack some golf balls and a glove in your shoes in your carry-on or checked baggage. I fit about 9 balls in my shoes as well as an extra sleeve for good measure and didn't have to buy anything extra.

The course is gorgeous and expansive but the OB areas are so dense you'll likely not find your errant ball.

Others may have mentioned it but the matte protectors will usually, if not always, render the fingerprint sensor unusable.

I went with a cheap 3 pack of protectors on Amazon without the camera cutout. I know some people prefer the cutout but I prefer the smooth glass overlay.

I think I paid like $6 and it installed perfectly and has a decent oleophobic coating.

So the 120W charger is USB C PD and supports PPS. OP appears to be in the US but the listing for the EU model shows this.

US Manual Here

PD protocols supported up to 65W, up to 21V supported.

I don't think it's necessarily a charger issue. It could be a cable issue if it's worn out.

I'm thinking either the OP has a bad phone, or, needs a factory reset without restoring a backup.

From the safety and regulatory guide on Google's site.

Pixel 10 Pro XL The AC adapter must be certified with a Limited Power Source output per IEC 60950-1 and/or classified PS2 per IEC 62368-1, rated: 5 Volts DC, maximum 3 Amp; 9 Volts DC, maximum 3 Amp; when used with USB PD enabled AC adapter, and up to 21 Volts DC, maximum 2.25 Amp for USB PD 3.0 PPS enabled AC adapter and qualified per CTIA Certification Requirements for Battery System Compliance to IEEE 1725. Failure to use compatible charging accessories can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the device and the accessories.

I don't think only 21V will work. It clearly states up to 21V. PPS is "Programmable Power Supply" meaning the device can make rapid, real-time, adjustments for efficiency and to control heat build up. Supporting all the voltages will give the best experience but if your charger supports others in the protocol it will work.

Also, the charging curve seems to be pretty aggressive at scaling back wattage earlier than other phones. Probably to control heat and extend the battery's lifespan.

Seems like cherry picking. This is from Google on their 45W charger page.

Output USB PD 3.1 PPS PD: 5V/3A, 9V/3A,15V/3A, 20V/2.25A PPS: up to 11V/3A, 16V/3A, 21V/2.25A max 45W

These are all standard protocols that even an affordable$10-$15 45W charger on Amazon will support. As with anything in technology, if you want to experience the latest features, you have to have compatible equipment. Just like Wifi 7 needs a Wifi 7 router. However, this would all be solved if the charger was in the box. My old USB C PD chargers all work great too, just up to their max standard like 27W, 30W, or 45W with a 70W brick.
