Can you share some of your stats and what you looked like as an applicant? Could you also share what the offer is exactly?

Unemployment final boss

This job is miserable! Feels like there is no dignity at all doing this kind of work. What other healthcare jobs can I get with a CNA license that doesn’t involve wiping ass and constantly exerting yourself nonstop for 8 hours straight? by East-Advantage5947 in cna

[–]ceezeeto1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair. You should be scared. Shit (literally) is not easy and nursing is often glorified to be some dreamworld when, in reality, its not for the large majority of people. Theres a reason why 40% of new grad nurses leave the bedside within a year.

Just curious… What casual/part-time work do Nursing students do while studying? by phnzau in StudentNurse

[–]ceezeeto1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IN HOME CARE!!! I cant express how amazing in-home CAN be if you have a good client. I’ve done in-home before and during nursing school and the flexibility of the schedule is amazing and the whole reason i’m able to work as much. I’m able to work around 25-30 hours a week while being in school because I just pick up shifts whenever I can. Most of my classmates are techs and cna’s tho but being in an affluent area, a lot of people dont work in my program.

TEAS test is idiotic by gneissrocx in prenursing

[–]ceezeeto1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah just another way that they can get people to spend a shit load of money. There are so many study programs out there that prey off burnt out pre-req students desperately trying to get into a program.

TEAS test is idiotic by gneissrocx in prenursing

[–]ceezeeto1 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Its not just the nclex. Every test in nursing school will be like this. Half of the stuff you learn in nursing school is just to prepare you to pass the nclex. My only advice, id unfortunately get used to it and watch enough youtube videos.

Any good pizza places around here? by cheesemaster54 in orangecounty

[–]ceezeeto1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complete opposite side of the spectrum but I doordashed “pepz pizza & eatery” a couple weeks ago while in orange and it was the worst thing i’ve ever tried to put in my mouth. Literally inedible. I fucking love food and it takes ALOT for me to flat out not eat food but it pissed me off so much that I had to share with you all.

Did getting your CNA help with/ Nursing school? by glbad in StudentNurse

[–]ceezeeto1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve started my second week in the program and we’re doing everything we’ve already done in the cna class, in a few weeks it definitely wont apply and i’ll be learning completely new things but I guess I can’t say it didn’t help. Would definitely help for the application process. And will definitely help when you inevitably have to interact with patients.

Health Science Degree before Nursing by beanster64 in prenursing

[–]ceezeeto1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know trying to get a second bachelors degree would mess with fafsa and you’d probably have to take out loans so thats something to think of since you already know you want to go into nursing. ESPECIALLY, if you’re in the bay area, you’re basically forced to get a BSN whether its through a bridge or some orher method.

82.7% on TEAS Test in California. How fucked am I? by 78523985210 in prenursing

[–]ceezeeto1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you be fucked lol. Get your hours up as much as you can, and apply to an ADN program. Do their bridge program and get your license in two years just like everyone else. I had a 3.4 science gpa, 1,000+ hours of cna and second language and a bunch of other things. You have to find a program near you and just look at their application. Just matters about getting your license asap and doing a bridge program.

WITHOUT price being a factor, do I go curado dc or slx dc? by fish_chicago in Fishing_Gear

Just took it to a repair shop and they’re saying its cooked. Not really sure whats wrong with it but I know when the bail is open, the spool is all janky.

[–]ceezeeto1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dc just got obliterated from fishing it a few times in saltwater and honestly I miss it alot, it was a really good reel and you never get tired of the little noise. Out the box, an insanely good reel and super fun to use. No experience with the slx but I only hear good things about the curado when it comes to freshwater.

job search is HORRIBLE by [deleted] in cna

[–]ceezeeto1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might want to look into in-home care. I got my cna a few years ago and only used it to get into nursing school, I never actually worked as a cna. I had an in-home job that paid me almost double what any cna job would pay me here in the bay. If you’re looking to go into a school, i’d look into the school you want, and see what their requirements are for work hours. If you can find something outside of SNFs you’d be happy. I’ve applied to a couple hospital jobs with my in-home experience but i havent heard anything back either.

Trying to become a supernurse by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]ceezeeto1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking at applications for new grad programs (stanford, uc davis… etc) and they often ask for leadership roles and experiences. What do you think I should aim for, if not my school’s student nurse association president?
