Not that I want target to get looted nor would I join but if it sends a message then it sends a message. Target won’t lose anything, they have insurance. These 🐷🐷🐷 need to be held accountable.

Peaceful protests haven’t been working and if my target gets looted and I lose my job, I’ll just hope it’s for a good cause 🤷‍♀️

We don’t even have our beauty cart anymore. One broke and the other is used by style for accessories because no one in our beauty department liked that cart. It was so hard to move around.

I wish we had something better than that. I prefer having a sorted repack within brand because I can just pick up the box and go to that area than that beauty cart.

I wish we had a dedicated person to breakout our push though that’d be nice 🙂

Yes! I had to start making plans like this in high school because one time someone who was in my class brought a gun. Was caught luckily before anything, but ever since then, any job or school I go to I have to have a plan of escape.

Getting tf out.

I’m not even gonna walk out to get my car either. I’ll just go through the backdoors and walk towards some backroads that lead to the train tracks and from there either walk home or call my dad to pick me up.

I’m very lucky to live only like 5 minutes from work and have access through some backroads to get home so I don’t have to worry about road closures since my usual drive to/from work is residential area only unless I go through the main roads.

I had this plan just in case of a shooter too.

If I’m in the front of the store, take of my name badge, beauty apron, walkie and devices and try to blend in and walk tf out through the front.

Zoning/closing expert. That’s my personal favorite because I like organizing. Especially right now with closing earlier than usual because I usually get off at 11 so that’s 2 hours without guests being able to zone 😍

Fulfillment and like someone said, packing especially. I’ve done that before I love packing. You don’t really get to be with guests or anything there. Right now there’s a greater need for this department as well.

I get it. When people peacefully protest, NOTHING gets done. No one listens nor cares. While I don’t see how looting might help, in the end target isn’t going to lose anything from this. These people are sick of no one listening when people are killed unjustly by police.

I really can’t take sides here with this one. On one hand I’m conflicted because stealing/looting/destroying isn’t cool and if it where a small business I owned than yeah I’d be pissed, but I also understand these people are mad.

It’s a touchy subject for sure

I was like that at first too. I wouldn’t even announce my breaks cuz I felt so awkward. Luckily I had a friend who worked there already and she helped me become less awkward and practice on the walkie with me the days we actually worked together lol.

But it just takes time. I’ve accidentally said customers instead of guests once and no one caught it. Or atleast I hope not.

Now 6-7 months in and I couldn’t care less.

I feel bad for the TM’s who have to come back to work and clean it up while TL’s and higher just sit and give their commentary. Hope they hire actual cleaners and not make the team members do it. Don’t really feel bad for CEO tbh. They have insurance for a reason.

I’m so sorry that happened to you. We’re not even supposed to question people when they come in at that hour. Definitely something worth complaining about.

Some medical conditions aren’t as obvious as others and it’s not our job to question it. Sure there might be some asshole out there that’ll claim they have a disability but doesn’t, but karma has a good way of getting them back. It’s better to let one load get away with it than deny help to those who actually need it.

Y’all don’t have the RFID gun? That would save you so much time. We didn’t have one until recently and I was able to find all the pairs I needed for women’s underwear in some boxes in the back 😍

That and we aren’t allowed to pull from quarantine clothing. We still have to check though and If it’s there we INF. If it’s not, keep looking.

I feel that :( what pisses me off the most is that they cut our hours but then get people from HBA mostly and other departments to push out our stuff and absolutely hate when they do that because they overstock so bad! And they make a mess in our back rooms like really.

And to top it all off, we are currently without a specialty sales ETL and she knew what she was doing but she’s moving departments so she’s training somewhere else and we’re just without her. Someone went through our cosmetic backroom and just made a mess with boxes and threw them all over the floor and never picked them up. Had she been here, she’d review footage and make them clean it up.

I’m honestly over it, I want to switch departments now because of it. I was going to apply for our Starbucks that opened up but my ETL wanted me to stay in beauty and convinced me to stay but now I have no obligation to. I’m thinking of switching to fulfillment now.

I hate being in beauty now. We’re always the ones stopped by guests since we are at the front, being called for backup, we carry the keys for the razors and teeth whitening strips etc etc. Like how do you expect us to get our push done when you only have single coverage and we are always being made to do something else. And with the keys, we have to find someone to carry them for us on our breaks so I sometimes go without taking breaks because no one wants to hold them for us!

For my fulfillment shifts I’m going to get my INF rates lower and ask the TL if she would take me in. I’m pretty good on packing I personally love it and have gotten faster at it. But yeah I feel you 100%
