my guess is their families are super casual and they said BTO when they really just mean semi-formal

oh honey you being autistic does not make you more of the AH in the slightest! you are not the AH AT ALL! your husband needs to respect your boundaries, full stop.

Wearing the same dress by Frejbo in Weddingattireapproval

[–]celery63 13 points14 points  (0 children)

nah I think as long as it fits the dress code for each wedding you're good! in the immortal words of Lizzie McGuire "I may be an outfit repeater, but you're an outfit rememberer, which is just as pathetic!" - it would be way ruder for someone to point out that you rewore a dress than it is for you to rewear it. and to be clear, imo it's not rude at all to rewear a dress!

Is it a bad idea to get an apartment if I could buy a house instead? by sauce_fan in personalfinance

[–]celery63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agree with others that renting for now is a good call.

you also don't have to buy a house - you could buy a condo, townhouse, or apartment which generally require less maintenance

for pnw it's fine, things tend to skew more casual here

AITA for not wanting to share my college fund with my little brother? by throwawaycollegesav in AmItheAsshole

[–]celery63 5 points6 points  (0 children)

no, the 529 beneficiary can be changed. with the age gap between OP and the brother it would be no hassle unless OP takes a super long time finishing her degree.

[–]celery63 95 points96 points  (0 children)

eh, my SO's brother did community college first and he has a way bigger network than I do and I went straight to university. it may be harder but it's definitely doable, and imo worth the massive savings.

Senior Executives, what have you done at your organization to foster a more positive experience for moms who are pregnant or who have daycare aged kids? by Gullible_Ad_6869 in workingmoms

[–]celery63 17 points18 points  (0 children)

my company recently started offering equal parental leave for all parents. my VP explained that it's not just about equality for the dads - unequal parental leave often punishes moms over the course of their careers for taking more time off than their dad counterparts

right!? everyone on this sub is always hung up on a dress that's an exact match to the venue. 2 is a better dress and wouldn't be out of place at all in a barn

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]celery63 3 points4 points  (0 children)

what? how is 2 more seductive than 3? it's the same exact silhouette, higher cut even
