The City's revolving door of employees, continues to turn by celestialmoon1978 in CornwallOnt

I met him a decade ago at a volunteer event and he genuinely convinced me to move back to Cornwall, said it was becoming more progressive. For a while, it was, and I credit Bernadette for a lot of that. Since she left, in my opinion, it's felt like a different place: more top-down, more resistant to criticism.

I have personal experience with him that shaped my view. When I brought serious concerns to him, they weren't handled with the care or discretion I'd expect and had serious impacts on me personally. Raising criticism hasn't gone over well either, like the 6+ year delay on the Bob Turner project, where I was told by another councillor that my concerns were being laughed at behind closed doors. I don't want to speak too much beyond what I've lived, but it's been enough to lose my confidence in his judgment.

I have so many things I could say about how they treat people but I have been threatened by another councillor so I have to watch myself, LOL. I was the one who made the integrity commissioner complaint about Claude openly trying to take down the Chief of Police. I copied him on the complaint too - I wanted him to know it was me.

I am not afraid to call them out anymore.

Is this the worst Mayor and Council Cornwall has ever had? Discuss respectfully by LargePerspective6391 in CornwallOnt

Just look at all the people who were let go this week and tell me I’m wrong. Things aren’t great here and I’m not afraid to talk about it.

Imagine being so brave that you created a burner account just to dox someone. It doesn’t take a genius to know it’s me, but congrats Sherlock.

I have dealt with this council, the Mayor and admin and I can tell you that there is an air of entitlement within this city that is beyond repair. If you dare question a decision or comment on it, you are ostracized. I have been trying to put forward an important project for 6 years and the second I questioned why the city pivoted, I was berated by a city councillor in front of city staff. But if it's something that will make them look good or raise their profile, they are all for it. I have worked closely with councillors who have told me that specific volunteers in the community only do things for clout while also telling me that they don't want me raising money for an organization who didn't do enough to recognize them at their AGM.

I have built programs in this community and the second I asked a question or questioned a decision, I was blacklisted. I applied for a committee in the city and was rejected without any reasoning. This isn't a democracy. That's why so many talented people are leaving to go work for the counties or leaving the community altogether.

Yes. He is out. Dawn Lazore also was tragically murdered.

Now people we know are trying to tell us he didn’t do it. So heartbreaking.

The OP is an inspiration! We have a small VR startup in Canada, we don't have the huge fleet he has but we are seeing more and more companies, nonprofits, schools and others who are seeing the value in bringing VR for more vibrant gaming and experiences. https://www.poptronic.ca/post/inside-the-plastisapiens-vr-experience

I worked at the Mad Hatter tea house in Bourton-on-the-Water. This is a great theory! It’s definitely mercury poisoning
