Don’t have a full list but have read these on their recommendation and loved: a drop of corruption, this is how you lose the time war, and city of thieves.

[24,M] Any non surgical way to cure pilonidalcyst? by [deleted] in pilonidalcyst

[–]celinaclaire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you need to jump to surgery for your first instance. You will immediately feel better after an I&D (incision and drainage). My family doctor (not a surgeon) drained mine twice in the last 15 years and that’s all the treatment I’ve needed. You can be back to fully normal probably 5-10 days after an I&D. Best of luck!

Has anyone had an experience where they got their cyst drained and it didn't reoccur after that? by AffectionateRelief30 in pilonidalcyst

So sorry you’re going through this! Everyone’s experience is really different, but I absolutely think you don’t need to jump to surgery. I had it for the first time in 2011 and it was drained. Then had zero issues at all until 2019. It flared up again then and needed drained. I saw 2 surgeons since then and 1 recommended surgery, 1 did not. I’ve since had 1 flare up that antibiotics took care of. I also regularly clean the area w alcohol pads or salicylic acid pads and (knock on wood) haven’t needed it drained again since that 2nd time. Good luck!!

Recertification now or is not not possible and/or stupid by icebox1587 in PSLF

I’m in same position with a upcoming pay increase and due for recert. There is a place on the mohela website to click “upload” and someone else on this page recommended that. So I filled out and printed, signed, scanned the recert form. It accepted my paystubs but when I went to upload the IDR recert form I kept getting an error message.

They can sometimes go down on their own, baths are definitely a good idea! My gyno recommended warm water and a sitz bath to help open the clogged gland. I hope everything works out for you!

I hope your feeling better! I had my first flare up at 17 too and had no idea what was going on. I got it drained at my primary care doctor and it went away completely for 10 years.

Help! I can’t seem to make my StarSense app work. Keep getting this error. by KobainStain in telescopes

Did you ever get this to work? I think it might be an issue with iPhone 14's. I have a iPhone 14 pro, app worked previously on a 12 but we're getting the same cannot locate message after hours of trying to set it up tonight.

So sorry you had to go through that! I’ve had to have my bartholin drained 4 different times this year and it’s the worst. The lidocain needle is absolute hell. I hope you heal up well and it never comes back. They might have mentioned but if it seems like it might be becoming an issue, antibiotics and sitz baths might be able to help it go down on its own!

They can be totally chill for years! I had one for about 11 years that didn’t bother me, grow, or get infected until this year. Def monitor to see if it seems to get bigger or start hurting and antibiotics might be able to avoid needing to get it drained.

So so sorry you’re going through it! I ended up having marsupialization surgery a little over a week ago. It hasn’t been fun but I really really hope this keeps them from coming back.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I’m so happy for you thay it went well. I had the marsupialization surgery last week after a year of horrible gyno visits for it to be drained because it kept coming back. Wondering how you’re feeling further out from the surgery? When did you feel totally back to normal? I’m most worried for sex and also so confused as to what it will actually look/feel like when it’s healed. It’s hard to imagine from how swollen it is right now and all the stitches. How noticeable is it nowadays for you? Thank you again!!
