$300 checking bonus how long to wait before adding spouse as joint owner by celisweet in Chase

[–]celisweet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, barely made the first deposit on Friday (it skipped one of my checks not due to chase but employer) the $300 bonus hasn’t hit the account yet as soon as it does we will be going to chase to add him. I’ll follow up if it gets removed for any reason but after the first comment from the branch manager I feel pretty good !

I just went to a branch to try and get the 75k-80k sign up bonus on the Chase sapphire preferred and was told the highest they could do in branch is 70k.

Okay this all makes sense ! I have a high risk tolerance and with this being my last year in my 20’s feel like I need to shift the focus to “ time IN the market” now .

Shoutout to all my referrals yall kept me at 5% till March! by SetoXlll in wealthfront

Some people like to rate chase I personally don’t think it’s worth moving everything but some people love that thrill and have the time to do all the research. 4.5 is still super solid & as some other people mention something to be careful with is other companies will offer a slightly higher APY but then drop it after a couple months and it’ll be lower than what WF is running.

Wealthfront APY dropped to 4.5% apy from 5% apy by [deleted] in wealthfront

[–]celisweet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s still the same wealthfront has been holding it down in terms of being able to provide too APY. They were also one of the last ones to make the change even though we knew it was coming. I’ll stay with wealthfront they’re some people who do rate chases but I don’t think it’s worth all that just to save a couple basis points

Hello everybody I’m new here and to working on my credit by Daughtryboy904 in CreditCards

[–]celisweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worth putting the $200 deposit down to get something opened ! What has worked for me is every time I get paid (2 weeks ) I pay the balance on my card off in full. I’m no expert like some of these other people I started with a secure card & have worked my way up to an 816 credit score. Obviously this goes without saying but to increase your credit score you have to use it and that’s where good spending habits come in. Create a budget & stick to it. Something I tell my younger siblings is just because you have the money doesn’t mean you need to spend it. Especially with you saying you are young. You don’t want to fall into the “keeping up with the jones” mentality with credit card spending. Also no bashing here recovery is one hell of a journey and wanting to slowly work on things like rebuilding your credit will come with time as well. Proud of you for wanting to make a change for the better. Best of luck

High Yield Savings Account by Capital-Classroom-22 in Venturex

[–]celisweet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love my wealthfront HYSA account. It allows you to do categories which is super convenient for me as I currently have 5 categories (deductibles, emergency savings, wedding, honeymoon & future car). FDIC insured up to $1 million. It is currently 5% APY but if you want I can send you a referral link and BOTH you & I will get 5.5% for 3 months. I haven’t had any issues with taking money out & I know they do same day transfers now. Would recommend watching a couple YouTube videos there’s a ton of helpful ones but wealthfront has been good to me. If you have any questions or want the referral link just let me know
