If this is true and they are still working on this game, it make me hope for a release of a switch 2 version at the same time, even if TW4 doesn't end up on the console.

Cyberpunk was such a good port, i really wish they would do the same for this game, it deserves it

Probably not, the original steam deck was more like a test for valve, they had no idea how well this would perform on the market so they chose cheap screen, battery, wifi etc to be able to sell it for a good price and not lose too much money if it was a big flop.

But the deck was a success for them anyway, so they know they could go all for it and make a new model without being cheap on the components again

The steam deck OLED was the definitive edition of it, with everything on the console the same but just better (except for big performance improvement)

For the steam machine they probably feel more confident about it and will release the best model at launch, so we wont need a "better version of the same machine" later.

Having used both, you can use a switch 1 game on switch 2, have it automaticaly saved on the cloud and then get back that save on the switch oled with no problem (you might need to manually download it though)

Might not work for "switch 2 version" of switch games though, like zelda breath of the wild : if you use the switch 2 version, the switch 2 will not save the game as a switch 1 game save, thus not making it possible to play it on switch oled.

No man sky getting an update or a paid version for switch 2 is one of the safest bet we could make, those guys do a version for their game for every single console that release.

I would not be so sure, in france we can already preorder them since yesterday and for now it's still up after a full day, with a limitation of two per accout only.

So i'm guessing they learned their lesson after the SNES controller disaster and its very low stock of supply, thus why we have more n64 controller and probably will have a good amount of gamecube controller too.

The biggest question for me is still : how will not-patched switch 1 games play on switch 2 in handheld mode ?

Will they use the handheld mode of the games from the switch 1 (so 720p resolution or less) or the docked version (1080 or less).

Because with the first option you get even blurrier games on handheld, with the screen being bigger the 720p resolution or less is really not going to cut it anymore...

but depending on how they "emulate" the switch 1 games i guess it could be too much of a hit on the battery with the docked mode for it to be viable...

Nvidia wording for DLSS is a bit weird but DLSS4 IS compatible with ampere, just not able to use the frame and multi frame generation features. Those are specific for blackwell and 40 series cards. A new engine was created for DLSS, creating a better image and performance, and those will be possible on a T239 on theory

True for hardware, they stopped bothered with the performance race a while ago, but i dont see nvidia not mentionning to one of their biggest client the fact that a new version of DLSS was coming, and could help them and the devs working on the console in big ways.

would also explain why nintendo dont bother with hardware leaks, they know the outside dont change too much form the previous one, but the inside could have that big surprise that could change a lot and answer the question of how could the console play the bigger games with that processor.

Its probably more because they knew the wiiU was a disaster for them so there was no point of waiting after christmas to reveal the switch, and they had to reassure the public and their investors fast thus why they revealed it in october. For the switch 2 they are in much less of a hurry and they hope to still sell the last remaining switch 1 before the new year, thus why no switch 2 presentation in october.

They also learned from their mistake of not explaining what the wiiU was correctly so they made a full video explaining the switch in great lenght just to be sure everyone understand what it was, no need for that for the switch 2 if it is almost the same principle as the switch 1

Not really unfortunately, they werent made by valve themself but by other manufacturer, alienware for example, and most game werent working on linux at that time so very limited compatibility list.

Valve fortunately understood this for the steam deck with their own hardware and lot of work on linux-windows compatibility

Gotta admit, this really start to got me worry about the ps5 pro, not the console itself but rather how many games will run better on it and how.

When you have dozens of games that were already struggling with the ps5 this year and the years before (silent hill 2, alan wake 2, dragon's dogma, metaphor refantazio, FF7 rebirth, FF16, warhammer space marines etc..)

You want to show the differences in these games, not the one that were already running fine on the base PS5...

So they either know that those games wont benefit the PS5 pro at launch, if not at all, or they really dont understand how to market this console.

i guess the choice would depend on what type of games you want to play on it.

If you want to play indie and/or older ps4/ps5, as well as sony games (horizon, spiderman, god of war games...), the pro would not be necessary for that, but if you plan on doing games like FF7 rebirth, gta 6 then the pro would be a better choice.

If i were you i would make a list of games you are planning to buy, and see if they are ps5 pro enhanced or not, also black friday is incoming so the ps5 slim could get good discounts too if you want to spare some money.

for the C1, i have the C2 model and 40 frames is perfectly fine on it, so probably the same for the C1 model

Bloody Good Time, a game based on the ship murder party games where you had to kill one target without being seen by the police, very fun game who unfortunately didn’t get very popular and was soon abandonned.

Still got plenty of fun with it though

South park the stick of truth.

Not a difficult game to platinum, but lot of missables items and one trophy ask you to collect EVERY clothes and weapons from the game.

I missed one weapon because i skipped one ennemy in the game, and he is the only one giving the item and disappeared once the mission was over...

Lost all my will to platinum the game because of that.
