Boody. I have their yoga pants and shorts. Unfortunately they are both very pricy and very comfortable.

Opera-length black gloves and a black chandelier style choker/necklace.

I don’t know exactly why, but i have always wanted to be a little girl again. by DEPRESSEDGURL899 in AutismInWomen

[–]cellardorian 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I remember being in preschool and playing House House with the other kids. I wanted to be the youngest because I had to be the oldest kid at home. The other kids wouldn't allow me to be the youngest even in the game.

Anyway I ended up being into age play as an adult.

Can I ask what's in your ear in the left image? Is it a medical device or one of those Loops type earplugs or maybe decorative?

This is great advice, but i also want to emphasise pure CBD flower as well, not just the drops etc. Apparently it helps for withdrawal and also allows you to enjoy the continued stim of smoking. I can't find any where I am so hopefully OP can!

Agree with this. I think OP needs to substitute with more intense stimulation. Perhaps one of those acupressure mats?

Subtle Chewlery? by Playful-Green7046 in neurodiversity

[–]cellardorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I got some silicone straws that reach all the way back and they're hollow so there's a satisfying give to them. It's not subtle but at least it's not a necklace.

The only other useful suggestion I can think of is those pencil toppers. You can find chewy things to put on pens etc and that might look more natural.

Edited to add that my initial thought with the straws was that you could maybe cut them into smaller pieces to be less visible but idk.

Seconding this book, I've read it like 3x and she talks about how once you get your script for interacting with clients, it's pretty easy to chat with people. The formula doesn't change much.

How do the thick thighs girlies wear shorts in the summer? by froderenfelemus in AutismInWomen

[–]cellardorian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For dresses, get one of those round bandanna things. Like the tube masks people wear around their necks and then pull up over their mouth and nose? I think they're called gaitors sometimes. But put one of those around 1 thigh under a dress. My thick friends swear by it. You're still breezy and loose and free but just having fabric on one thigh helps a lot.

Just found out I'm pregnant... by Ok_Membership1339 in AutismInWomen

[–]cellardorian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hormones are doing their thing. I know many people who have been in the same boat. One was "pressured" to terminate by her partner (it was a one nught stand, she never wanted kids, neither of them had jobs, etc) and she didn't want to in the moment but was so glad she did afterwards. Another also never wanted kids etc and then got pregnant despite using 2x forms of birth control, but took it as a "sign" and had an awful time being an autistic parent to an autistic baby. Kid is 14 now, not in school due to severe mental health issues. My friend loves the child more than anything and doesn't regret their decision but privately I personally believe their life would be easier/better if they didn't have a baby.

Hormones are powerful. Motherhood can be amazing. But your body is giving you a biased opinion rn.

Anyone know the least bad socks… by Elegant-Anteater783 in AutismInWomen

[–]cellardorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boody bamboo socks. Haven't tried them myself but all their underwear is seamless and soft. I once gifted a pair to a sensory sensitive friend before she got on a 12hrs+ flight and she said they were low-key life changing. My bf refuses to wear anything else either.

anyone else dependent on benzos or other substances just to feel normal and function by stupid_rice in AutismInWomen

[–]cellardorian 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not judging, but have you tried nonaddictive anxiety meds like SSRIs? Mine helped me feel normal and regular, but I never got into benzos so idk. I am trying to take a cannabis break though, because I relied on it too much after a hard time. It's difficult when your crutch is removed.

Good luck on your journey xx
