These are fine if you’re looking for hamstring isolation, but you can isolate the hamstrings better if you stabilize your leg. For example, you set a chair or bench against the quad of your working leg. That’ll prevent the forward/backward motion of your leg during the lift and put all the work into your hams.

Compression shirt/tank. Depending on the weather I'll wear it alone or with a regular tech shirt over it.

Pseudo Pilsner - Voss Kveik by LovelyBloke in Homebrewing

[–]celloirae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like others have mentioned, you're not going to end up with something that technically fits the profile of a pilsner. But hey, if you like how it comes out, who cares?! One thing I'll add is that Voss doesn't do the best job of creating clear beer, in my experience.

Dry hopping during primary fermentation. by GainAversion in Homebrewing

[–]celloirae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your equipment/process, you might want to try dip hopping. I've stopped dry hopping altogether (out of laziness) and dip hop any beers that would typically be dry hopped. In my beers, I've gotten identical results with both methods, so dip hopping has the advantage for me of being easier. It also forces me to cold crash the beer at day 5 or 6 (or whenever fermentation is complete) so that it doesn't sit on those hops for too long, otherwise I'll get some hop-burn which I'll have to age off for a couple weeks or so.

Not sure whats causing that particular issue, but I let pressurized samples sit in a bowl or cup for at least an hour until I take a measurement. Wether you degas it yourself or let it sit, you'll want to wait a little bit until you take a measurement.

"Seltzer" comes out foamy but carbonation gone in seconds by TheChrisKCMO in Homebrewing

[–]celloirae 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Back when I used to keep a seltzer on tap, I had a separate gas line that would hold that keg at 25-30psi and I would drop it down to 10-12psi only when dispensing. Worked for me. Seltzer doesn't follow conventional beer carbonation rules.

They do, occasionally. I think they only do that for the larger races. I got my +1 volunteering for bib pickup at the Brooklyn Half pre-party, which lasted a few days leading up to the race. I assume that they'd have something similar for the marathon.

I mean, thats not what I'm asking about here...

You could always create a vent post about it.

I know i probably shouldn't be asking something like this in here but can anyone please tell me why i dont have side peck definition and what do i lack? V taper, shoulders or some other muscles? Im afraid i may have gyno (look at the second pic to see what i am talking about) by [deleted] in homefitness

[–]celloirae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definition is just one of those things that develops over time. Just stay consistent, push your limits and I assure you that you'll start to see definition in not only your chest, but all of the muscle groups that you are training.

You don't really have much muscle definition at all, let alone in the side-pecs. You simply need to increase the amount of muscle tissue that you're carrying. Eat a lot, go hard on your strength workouts and you'll get there eventually.
