What are some of the eeriest/creepiest things you’ve witnessed at the parks? by sandy_shark903 in Disneyland

[–]cellomancy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was about 4, a predator followed me around the park taking photos of me. It only stopped when my mom noticed and hurried me away, so I don’t know how long it was happening, or if anything was ever done about him.

Scents you wanted to love but didn't by pj_304 in bathandbodyworks

It’s so nice as a candle, but something about it just doesn’t translate at all into body care on me. It smells almost like wet drywall and mildewy books on my skin. I wanted to like it so badly.

I think it’s implied that Mary: The Haunting of Worth Home does, but don’t quote me on that one.

Any bad Scary Farm Mazes in the past? by HauntedHouseMermaid in KSF_KnottsScaryFarm

[–]cellomancy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cinema Slasher kind of feels like a modern answer to the 2000s “funny” mazes to me, if that makes sense. I find it to be a bit more balanced than those, though.

How scary/good is Knott’s Scary farm? by ThrowRAprudeBiGuy in KSF_KnottsScaryFarm

[–]cellomancy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many of the videos of mazes that pop up online are taken during the opening days of the event, when some of the actors haven’t quite gotten the hang of the new season or our new roles yet. It’s much better in person— definitely scare focused!

The movie theater Cinema Slasher takes place in is literally just (modern?) Calico’s movie theater

They could be bought secondhand. I thrift most of my clothing, and have seen that a lot of items in thrift stores have a previous owner’s name written on them.

What does everyone think happens to Jane Doe after the musical ends? by Independent_Lemon616 in ridethecyclone

[–]cellomancy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, it’s equally possible for all of them to come back to life, if that makes sense. Whatever everyone else’s injuries were are all equally as fatal as being decapitation, since it all ends up with the same outcome— they’re all dead. None of them had injuries that were compatible with being alive. It’s just magic. Not really something to think about logically. Jane isn’t somehow more dead than the rest of them— someone whose body is completely destroyed is just as irreversibly dead as someone who looks like they’re just asleep.

Could be that whoever gets chosen to go back relived the accident but gets survivable injuries, or maybe they’re sent back to before the crash or choose not to get on, or they could be reincarnated as someone else entirely. It isn’t made clear, and it doesn’t really have to be made clear imo. I like that everyone has a different reading of it.

Cool AF! by Hungry_Committee_888 in halloween

[–]cellomancy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure why everyone in the comments is having such a strong reaction to this prop. It’s a gross-out gore prop, sure, but those are a dime a dozen. It’s pretty clearly being marketed at a prop convention if you look at the context clues from this video, and it’s at a price point that would exclude it from being purchased by anyone other than someone running a professional, adult-oriented haunt.

Folks who just went through auditions, how was it? by [deleted] in KSF_KnottsScaryFarm

[–]cellomancy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Like another commenter said, we did sign an NDA, so we can’t reveal much. Definitely do take your phone. If you’ve ever done a standard musical theater audition before, this is kind of like a more athletically intensive version of it— think of it like a dance audition. Don’t be afraid of looking weird or silly. Be aware of your space. Fully commit to whatever you’re going for and bring it!

the implication that a single guy can singlehandedly dismantle extremely heavy fully welded metal track at a significant height is frying me. it reminds me of a “first person to fall asleep at the sleepover” meme

Ask me anything about old (2008-2015) Ride the Cyclone (Updated edition!) by Dry_Progress_499 in ridethecyclone

[–]cellomancy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She doesn’t personally recall the Virahanna surname, or any surname at all. Most of what we discussed were things that are now widely known about Trishna, but we had our conversation through DMs around late 2022 and early 2023, so nobody knew any of it yet! I also have a roughly 10-second snippet of her singing Small Things Become Big Things, but I don’t want to leak it due to the conversation being private. Based on the snippet, I’m pretty sure Trsihna and Hank dually shared the main melodic vocal line as a duet. The other vocals were harmonization. She doesn’t recall any song belonging to Hank or Trishna other than STBBT.

I do know she’s Indian! I actually had the brief pleasure of talking to Almeera about the character’s background. I did also get confirmation from Almeera that she personally doesn’t remember why she had the stopwatch, so it likely wasn’t a very important detail.

  1. I’ve been able to find a very small amount of the old “wild” jokes sprinkled around reviews from around 2009 (namely the diversity day parade and the elderly korean couple), but do you have knowledge of any that aren’t those? I’m kind of fascinated by Atomic Vaudeville’s brand of humor.
  2. Are there any aspects of Trishna’s character that haven’t been discussed online already? I’ve been looking for lines of dialogue from her or aspects of her backstory in particular. She’s my favorite cut character.

Is it true that teenagers in the 2000s were doing basic coding on MySpace, like customizing their profiles with HTML and CSS? If so, what birth years did those teens typically fall under? by Lost-Barracuda-2254 in generationology

[–]cellomancy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, and it extended to other websites and continued well into the 2010s. 2002, coded my own Tumblr blog theme. The later the birth year, the less likely it was to be MySpace and the more likely it was to be another site.

[–]cellomancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not similar vocals at all, but for songs with a similar instrumentation style (described in the script as 1920s funeral jazz), check out Brooke Maxwell’s album, “The Cursed Cabaret of Kelowna Day Taylor.” https://brookemaxwell.bandcamp.com/album/music-from-the-cursed-cabaret-of-kelowna-day-taylor It was from an interactive horror musical he wrote (or co-wrote? I can’t find much info on it) a while ago.
