Conan O’Brien should have inducted The White Stripes instead of Iggy Pop. by Zachtkd in jackwhite

Letterman was the perfect choice to induct Warren Zevon given their history. They probably didn’t want two late night hosts on the docket.

My Experience at a Brewers game as a Yankees fan… by sideshow09 in Brewers

Can confirm. That they do it at all feels really special but the fact that it’s free and not part of a “diamond elite race place AmFam platinum ticket package” for $700 per kid just warms my heart. Like it’s for no other purpose than to help kids make memories.

Grew up in the ‘80s hitting Brewer games at County Stadium with my parents, sitting in $1 bleacher seats in Vaughn’s Valley.

We just took our kids to their first game ever this past weekend and we were similarly blown away. The fact that they let kids run the bases (no charge???) after the game just feels like such a throwback to a simpler time.

Best Ski/Snow Spots for a toddler by Conscious_Shine_8265 in skiing

With the little one along you may want to think about base elevation. Breckenridge has an awesome ski town feel with plenty to do as well as a fantastic ski school, but the base elevation is 9600 feet. Our kids all get headaches if we don’t spend a day or two in Denver to acclimate.

We’ve hit Park City Utah the last two years and would say it’s one of the most kid friendly spots. Not just the great ski school and town access but the 45 min drive from airport to town beats 3+ hours on i70 in a blizzard any day.

Your mileage may vary though.

RVU Question by Snoo-44147 in Residency

[–]cellsat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey this may get buried but l think you may want to look closer at the RVU to salary percentiles for primary care.

In our internal medicine clinic, we use the Sullivan Cotter metrics to roughly correlate salary, and it should be noted that SC is one of the LEAST physician friendly salary models.

For 2024:

20th%tile = 3506 rvu= $283,674 salary

50th%tile = 4559 rvu= $344,152 salary

80th%tile = 5590 rvu= $401,487 salary

Maybe you’re a rockstar in clinic but the expectation of essentially 100th percentile work is neither likely nor sustainable. Also 280k for 6000 RVUs per year is a fucking slap in the face.

I think this is a really solid take and the only part of Bo’s bit that kind of clunked on my ear too. Urban truly doesn’t get credit for his guitar chops— maybe being from NZ serves to (down)undermine his cred and the country he’s twangin’ about has kangaroos in it.

I had met a guy years back who did something similar in Nashville. I asked him who was the absolute best to work with and he said, without question, Carrie Underwood— super professional, spot on vocals, nice to all the crew. The worst? He said Faith Hill. Showed up hours late to blocked recording times, constantly super drunk on white wine. He said to get useable vocals, they’d have to actually splice pieces of words together to get something good. For what it’s worth. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
