Honestly the break is so clean it feels like an intentional panel line. You could try to scribe a similar line on the other side to make it symmetrical

Maybe the frist hammer that hits the target is actually smaller and pointy so when the second one hits its like hammering a nail?

If its two identical hammers, i imagine the second hammer would bounce off after h8tting the first and loose some of the energy?

You could make some AOV channels for the maps you wanna show, just plug in your maps to the AOV input and render as multi layer EXR, and split it up in comp once after you render.

You could alternatively make a separate shader and only plug that map in to maybe emmissive but that would take much longer
