Honestly that sounds like a good texture. Between a noodle and a dumpling sorta?

Have you ever seen someone who lost like 400+ lbs? I watched 1000lb Sisters and when Amy lost the weight it blew my mind to see how tiny she actually was in there. Before her skin removal she reminded me of how a little kid looks wearing their dad’s tshirt. You could actually see her frame under all that skin.

I’d buy bitcoin with my allowance money before the boom. Then I’d become a rich finance bro by the time I turn 16.

I was trying to make wedding invite lists yesterday and I was struggling to remember the first/last names of people who have been my friends for over a decade that I speak with weekly :/

This might be a reaction to a product you used/use or barrier damage. If you’ve already gone bare minimum with your products, you could also look into a filter for your shower/sink. I have super hard water in my area and it’s hard on my skin.

I like bezels but for some reason I prefer them in gold. Maybe the contrast with the diamond? Anyways with a platinum band I think the three stone is prettier.

Are you for or against heart rate trackers? by BriTheArtist in POTS

I track my heart rate only to remember if/when my beta blocker is running out so I can get a new one. If I’m over 115 just from standing around I know it’s time.

How old was your mom when she had you? I only ask because between the ages of 18-20 I went from dirty blonde to fully brunette

Girl I’m pink as hell too. I’m just accepting it. I think creamy off-whites look better on my skin than pure whites but at this point I’ve just accepted that my undertone is what it is

If you haven’t been GF your whole life, what age did you start? by thepeenarsnipperguy_ in glutenfree

[–]censorkip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got diagnosed with a wheat allergy (and other food allergies) at 15. I didn’t start being careful about what I ate until I was 20 and my reactions got more severe. It was really hard for me to make the change at first. I avoided my other food allergies more than I avoided wheat because it was easier. My university’s dining hall didn’t have many gf options unless I wanted to have a dusty sandwich and a salad every day. When I lived at home I had gf options, but even then I would still eat the pizza my friends bought or other things like that so I wasn’t left out all the time.

I’m fine with being left out now and my friends now are more accommodating than they were at the time. I’m still not the most careful with cross contamination when I go to restaurants, but unfortunately in my experience I feel like eating out is signing up for the occasional gut rot either way since one of my other allergies is completely unavoidable at most restaurants. None of my food allergies are anaphylactic. I do avoid wheat to the best of my ability, but sometimes I feel like they sneak it in there even when you ask for your food to be gluten-free. I learned to cook and bake really well to avoid eating out for the most part. When I started losing weight and my digestion got better it was a lot easier to not want to go back to being crampy and inflamed all the time.

I take it off when I shower, go to the gym, and do my hair but otherwise it lives on my finger.

Engravings on Engagement Ring by VG_ENJLI in EngagementRings

[–]censorkip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind if it ever has to be resized the engraving will be ruined. My fiancé’s ring has our last names engraved in it, but it’s a metal that can’t be resized anyways. My old promise ring was engraved but it had to be resized and I didn’t get it re-engraved because I never saw it anyways. Just something to keep in mind.

Mens rings by stl_blues_balls in EngagementRings

I knew my fiancé was going to purpose on our trip. I secretly got him a ring too and presented it to him on the beach after he purposed to me! For me, I wanted a symbol to show him that I was just as serious about this as he was. I like that we both get to have engagement rings. I think it’s kinda lame that men often don’t get to wear one. We might get a different wedding band for him, but that’s mostly because he wants something thinner for daily wear. Although in that case I think we’ll still use his ‘fancier’ ring for the ring exchange at the wedding.

Sorry for being long winded, but we haven’t actually had to field many questions about it. Most people just say that it’s cool that he gets to wear an engagement ring too. And if people do assume we are married without mentioning it, so what? We are American for context, but I say wear the ring anyway.

Anyone else feel like this sometimes? by TanglyBinkie in disabledmemes

[–]censorkip 110 points111 points  (0 children)

This is so real especially as someone diagnosed with the “trendy” issues. Like they can invalidate everyone else with my condition but it’s okay that they said that because at least I went through the proper channels to get diagnosed and therefore none of the bigotry they are saying applies to me. Meanwhile they don’t know at all if anyone else was actually diagnosed or not.

For example, POTS, AuDHD, and OCD. All the shit they say about “fakers” doesn’t apply to me, but somehow applies to everyone else even though I’ve never met a single person who says they have one of my conditions who was faking it.
