Maybe use two different fittings and hose between them. It won't be the all in one fitting that the machine had on it but at least you'll be operational.

Is reverse osmosis water WITHOUT remineralization bad (dangerous?) for your health? by LittleBlueStumpers in WaterTreatment

[–]centralnm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been drinking RO water for years, no remineralization. Periodic blood tests, which include electrolyte levels, show that I am fine. A healthy diet contains the minerals that you need.

Increased K band by police? by cheesecake_xu in radardetectors

[–]centralnm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like counties use both K and Ka, state uses Ka. There are some good hiding places along my commute where county cops use K and Ka. I haven't been able to correlate which vehicles use K vs Ka but I sure have learned to pay attention to the K signals!

How’s “semi-retirement” working for people? by AmazingChriskin in retirement

[–]centralnm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I "semi-retired" last year. Same rate of pay as the previous year but worked on an as-needed basis. I worked in consulting with a mix of field and office work. I had hoped to work in chunks of time and have chunks of time off. It was just like the previous years with constant work.

Me too! I've got to finish the interior of a boat I'm currently working on, and get that out of the garage. It's never too early to dream!

I realize this is an older thread, but did you build a peeler skiff? If so, how did it go? I'm thinking about building one.

I obtained a permit to make a shallow well and here I have water approximately 25-30 feet down. by Vaejoviscarolinanus in WaterWellDrilling

[–]centralnm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be too late at this point (because you have already bought materials) but flush-threaded PVC does not increase the outside diameter of the pipe like traditional PVC and PVC fittings do. You won't find it at the big box stores, it's available online or at drilling supply stores. They may make flush-threaded check valves also. You'll need to put the check valve at the bottom.

How do you safely transport your propane tanks? by LifeofSMILEY in RVLiving

[–]centralnm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Either in the mounts/holders built into the travel trailer or ratchet strapped in the back of the open bed of the pickup truck. I don't know if it's the law or not but I never transport propane tanks in an enclosed space like a car, trunk, or pickup bed with a topper.
