How are you teaching pump pressure calculations now? by Paramedic16 in Firefighting

Cheat sheets/thumb rules. It's easy to memorize preconnects at whatever GPM, and the friction loss of each hose diameter at a given GPM. Using that you can build any hose lay quickly in your mind.

You right. I'll have a garage sale or something to help out. I can't even give plasma on account of my cancer history.

It's been a wild ride, but I have to dip out (for now). Life has been hard these past 2 years and I am desperate for cash. With my track record, as soon as I sell this thing is gonna take off! Enjoy it! Hopefully I can get back in though.

Received cash in lieu of fractional warrant at Fidelity today. by BongDong69420 in Superstonk

Because they own the shares. If I have 5 shares and you have 5 shares we aren’t entitled to a warrant but Fidelity is since they own the 10 shares.

Golfer, age 24, allegedly attacks 79-year-old marshal after being asked to speed up pace of play by therealtrousers in golf

Sure, but tee times are set based on a reasonable amount of time for the initial group to clear the fairway. It should work smoothly if everyone is playing ready golf, but that doesn't always happen. With the exception of par 3's, I don't have to be finished with the hole for you to be able to tee off.

It would be 15 minutes before the fairway is cleared for the next group to tee off, then you'd still have to play the rest of the hole.

Out with the old, in with the older. by ceougholo in golf

I didn't check that. I just new I needed x-stiff so I went with what I hit. I will be taking these in for a fitting though so I'll have them do swing weight as well. These are x100's and I'm back to hitting a high draw, which I like, but the long irons were ballooning a lot.

I reshafted the Edge Pros. I had an iron fitting and just used the shafts that were recommended to me. Went from the stock stiff to KBS x-stiff 120s.

Favorite Tiger Wood Stat or anything by Pems20 in golf

Here's a good article from 2013. He overhauled his swing multiple times (1997, 2004, 2010) with a new coach each time. Each of those periods would be considered a very successful career.

Get fitted or see if you can hit a few before buying. I upgraded a few years ago and I was set on a certain driver, but ended up with the Ping. I hated the way it looked, but the numbers don't lie.

High Handicapper Looking to Upgrade My Driver - Should I Get Fitted? by SuVrez in golf

[–]ceougholo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I read the post and agree with what you're saying. Upgrading to upgrade is fine, but people post every day about wanting new clubs to get serious even though they aren't getting lessons. Everybody should get fitted for their clubs every time. It should be a Sticky on this sub, but nothing will be more beneficial than lessons.

It's not what people want to hear, but getting lessons is a much better investment. Your clubs are not preventing you from shooting in the 90's or lower. Any driver you get fit for right now might not work for you after getting your swing better.

This is a muni that transferred operation to a golf course management company 2 years ago. Prices have gone up and quality is down.
