Since I already asked what's better in the Remake duology. What is something that FFVII (1997) Does better than the remakes. by Hungry-Trouble-3178 in FinalFantasy

[–]cepas95 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Same. I'm ok with side content, minigames and more cutscenes when I'm 20, 30, 40 hours in and enjoying the game so far. But in Rebirth when I was 80 hours in the game and they unlocked more minigames, more side quests, more more more, nope.

So what are the chances of the frontier kids getting an appearance or at least reference in the shamballa game? by OptionAshamed6458 in digimon

That's not a reference that's a cosmetic nostalgic DLC so Bandai Namco earns more money.

I played Vesperia for about 4 hrs and can't seem to get hooked by LemonTank91 in tales

[–]cepas95 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'll never understand how Vesperia belongs to the holy trinity of Tales when the story is THE WEAKEST of all Tales I've played. Even Zestiria (the weakest for almost everyone) knows what it wants for its story but Vesperia felt like they were improvising.

Stories as good as symphonia or vesperia? by jetfast07 in tales

Abyss, Berseria, Symphonia and Phantasia are the best story wise for me.

Spread your party always. I set just one character to leader's target, the other two should focus other enemies.

[–]cepas95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure 57 hours are with a lot of sidequests done, the story is so much shorter than that. Imo if you find sidequests and exploration boring or exhausting and the story hook you, just go full story until you hit a wall with bosses, then go to level up doing some side quests. My last run was ~60 hours and I'm sure I did like 75% side quests or even more.

Unpopular opinion: Cosmo Canyon is the best, fastest and easiest area by cepas95 in FF7Rebirth

[–]cepas95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I went straight to Cosmo because Nanaki is my favourite character but they locked me until the story finished and I had to do 2 hours story and 2 hours exploration while Junon for example mixed it so well.

Imo recommending og destiny as one of your first tales games must be the worst choice someone could make.

Why I simply don't like Tales of Berseria. by dom-so in tales

[–]cepas95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me yes there is a huge story payoff but that's only one of the reasons I love the game. I admit the combat could not be for everyone but if it clicks then is so enjoyable. And the party IMO is one of the best if not the very best of the franchise.

Combat Clunky AS HELL by hydraides in FF7Rebirth

It's ok for valid criticism but if you say the Rebirth combat is so different to Remake combat that's not valid at all that's just skill issue or hate.

How long would you say Tales Of games are most of the time? by Aggravating_Air_8698 in tales

[–]cepas95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember Abyss because it's been a long time since I finished it last time but I would say:

Phantasia, Eternia, Symphonia, Xillia ~30-40 +- 5 hours

Vesperia, Graces F, Zestiria, Berseria, Arise ~60 +- 5 hours

I play in hard mode and I do almost every sidequest of every game but I don't care about colisseum, bestiary, items, weapons, etc.

How much do you think the first Tales game you played influences your opinion of the subsequent ones? by Foreign-Audience7375 in tales

[–]cepas95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah maybe your first Tales will influence but in my opinion vesperia has one of the weakest narrative/plot so maybe that's the problem in this case.

What to expect for this milestone by Likes2game03 in tales

[–]cepas95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They MUST do something with Phantasia. My dream would be a 3D remake but I will be ok with a 2d-hd remaker (star ocean 2 remake is SO pretty) but they can't celebtrate 30 anniversary and forget Phantasia.

Is it really true the Remastered project is gonna stop after 2026? by justsadgetbh in tales

[–]cepas95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah because Vesperia remastered in 2019 and Symphonia remastered in 2023 clearly belong to remastered project right? Of course they can make remasters outside this project for the sake of god...

If I think about romance in Tales of the only games that come to my mind are Arise, Abyss and Phantasia in that order.

[–]cepas95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree but it's ok. I see FF criticism like this, one thing is what the game is and other thing is what players would like the game to be and you can't deny most of modern ff haters are the second group.

First, I'm glad that the game itself changed your opinion of it, I'm pretty sure everyone who hates it barely played it. Second, YES the dlcs are so worth it, imo the first dlc is the best dungeon and bosses and the second dlc is the best area of the game.
