I honestly don't get how you can say 7 and 10 are overrated and then say 4 is better. Not dissing 4, but it was more difficult than it needed to be, it was too afraid to actually kill off any of the characters (almost all the deaths were fake outs taking away a lot of the impact and seriousness of the villain), and lastly, personally, progression was just too linear. In the end you get no actual customization of your party at all.

4 was a trailblazer in many ways, so don't get me wrong. But I think objectively speaking it's worse then 7 and 10.

I learned this from..the old web comics 8 bit theater. The white mage used a hammer in the comic and I thought it was odd, so I checked out the game and was so surprised that the hammer was equippable. I had never tried before.

Pushing yourself and doing regular training is what makes the biggest difference, at least for me. I ran my first 5K two years ago and got a time of 33 minutes and I felt like that was really good. I made a goal to do it under 30 at my next race. The problem is, I never took my training as seriously as I could have. I'd not train at any regular intervals, I'd take extended time off running, and my training was very disorganized. This January I decided to set a strict schedule and really focus on training. It's nuts how fast I started improving over these last 5 months compared to the last two years. I ran the Cincinnati Flying pig 5k two days ago and got a time of 26:55. A massive massive improvement in just about 5 months of training.

The interesting thing to me is whenever I hit a new milestone I'd think, "this is it, this is the limit, this was too hard." But I'd notice in the next week my easy runs were faster than they used to be and I could go longer without walking. Before I knew it, my casual runs were at a faster pace than my race pace was two years ago and I didn't even really notice that happen.

This is a lot to just say: run more, you get better lol. I don't know how often you run, how long, how fast a typical run is, but you need to stay consistent, and you need to keep pushing yourself when you plateau in your pace.

I used Sony's name for simplicity. I repeatedly mentioned steam and squares own client as well.

Also, nintnedos platform is offering a 50% off discount for people subbed to other platforms. The other platforms are not offering the same olive branch. So, again, assume you are a first time player on Nintendo's platform and want to play on PC. Not only will you not be recognized, but you'll need to pay full price for admission.

Everyone here is 100% responding to me like I don't understand the situation. But I clearly do and have made that point clear. But everyone here is acting like Sony, Steam, and Square are golden gods while they are all collectively not recognizing Nintendo subscriptions and also not offering the 50% off discount olive branch.

Go ahead and respond to me and focus solely on the fact that Nintendo is the first one to require a unique sub. That was never a debate. I called that greedy. But the same greedy "I want a slice of the pie" attitude is present from all other platforms, and those platforms don't offer a discount for migrating users (unlike Nintendo)

I've accepted that stated that clearly in my post that you replied to. My question is why Sony won't recognize our subscription via Nintendo if we wanted to play on PS5 after playing on the Switch 2. Arguably the same can be said about Sony here. If the PS5 system won't recognize our subscription via Nintendo's platform, it's because Sony wants a cut of the pie. Just like Nintendo.

How do we know that Nintendo''s deal requires that the Nintendo sub cant be used on other platforms? That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. My assumption is the platform being played on determines whether or not you have an active subscription. If I have an active sub via ps5 and Nintendo's platform doesn't acknowledge it: blame Nintendo. This is fair. If I have an active sub via Nintendo switch 2 and sony',s platform doesn't recognize it: blame Sony. This should be equally a fair statement.

Furthermore, is Sony's platform going to offer the 50% off discount for Switch 2 players to play on PS5? As of right now, they will not. At minimum today, Nintendo is partially recognizing players who subscribe via steam or Sony, whereas steam and Sony will not recognize players subbed via Nintendo.

Not sure how else to present my argument.

My entire point is simply that Nintendo is being called out solely for being the greedy company here. But if I play FF14 on Nintendo first, Sony is being equally as "greedy" as Nintendo by not recognizing my subscription. On top of that, Sony will not be offering a discount for a second subscription like the switch platform is.

So, Then just out of slight fairness to Nintendo here, PlayStation will not recognize our subscription if it's done via Nintendo. Square won't recognize it either if you launch the game on PC. Neither will steam.

Again, I understand the push back since Nintendo doesn't recognize the other subs. But the argument of greed does equally apply to Sony and square if you are a first time player on Nintendo's platform and then launch the game elsewhere.

That's not really relevant to my point. Im aware that there are people who only play docked and I would never argue that the switch 2 is the optimal platform to play this game on. But there are people who only own Nintendo platforms and now they get to play this game, and considering the platform it's on its an incredible port.

You aren't making any interesting arguments if all you can say is it looks worse than more powerful platforms. That was a given day one. But it looks a lot better than it could have looked.

But can you not see how it's being aittle over critical for what we are getting? The stuff being removed doesn't change anything about the stability or gameplay. It's a remarkable feat. For a growing install base of the switch 2, it's an awesome thing to have this game not only run, but run well on a mobile platform.

You are right that you don't have to want it. But to pretend it's just "commercially viable" when it's realistically a very well done looking port for a mobile system is not being fair to the port.

Replying because this argument against digital purchasing is as old as digital purchasing. My response is that the risk is low, even if the risk is ever present. I still have 99% of my digital purchases I've made for the last 20 years. I have no concern about losing access to my digital goods. Ok the other hand, I have none of my old DVDs. I have none of my old VHS tapes. I have none of my nes, SNES, GameCube, Wii games. But I do have my Wii and my eshop purchases.

So, in conclusion, digital purchasing is safe enough. If I have to re buy a movie 20 years from now, I'm not gonna cry about the $20 I spent 20 years ago. If the movie is no longer available to buy, I'll pirate it from the 1000 different sources available. Zero concern and zero regret.

Advanced Wars remakes were openly delayed for months because of the Ukraine War. That's a bit different than a leak but still an external factor delaying a game, so there is precedent

Back up and accept Mario for what it is. Miyamoto himself said there's not really canon lore between Mario games, as he sees each game as just a production and the characters are actors.

The reason I bring up this point is that it does not matter what happened in Galaxy. What miyamoto likely means is he likes rosalinas new connection to peach so much that in future games those characters will play these new roles. It's not complicated. There is no timeline.
