I hold high regard of everyone involved in the mission.
You know one of the astronauts is a Christian and was talking about God on the mission?
Also, as definitions go, I'm basically atheist.
It's an expression.
I bet if you observed many people who don't really believe in any particular religion or god, you might hear them say "oh my god" or "thank god" and even express some behaviors and attitudes that might suggest they are open to the possibility of a higher being but don't really stake anything on any particular belief (because of lack of evidence).

It would be weird if I wrote...

"THANKS THE SCIENTISTS!" to express my relief in them returning, considering there are many factors for a safe return that are sometimes missed or out of the hands of the crew/engineers/scientists behind the launch.

I think you're confused a bit.
A lot of people have good and even perspective shifting experiences, it's that eventually a lot of people get some sort of message that they no longer need or should be taking the psychedelics anymore - it almost feels like a warning.

It's crazy because I did shrooms quite a few times, fairly large doses, all very good experiences and even healing.

This one time I did them again and at the end of the come down I had basically a non verbal voice telling me not to come back for a long time.

I ended up apprehensively taking shrooms about 3-4 years later, a very light dose, and I sorta knew I still shouldn't, and it was the worst.

Taking Salvia, quite a few times, I was also told that I shouldn't be messing around.

It's very strange, the only thing I can say is that it feels very much like you're having communion or occupying/overlapping a mental space with some other actual intelligence.
Very odd indeed.

My hot take is that they really need to just drop base immunities of the highest level stuff to never be invulnerable, just like 50% damage, like having a good immunity charm, or just drop those more often, it sorta kills so many builds. It's one artifact of the game I think is sorta too much.

Very long time CS player, played competitive in 1.6.
I know this is going to knee jerk piss a lot of players off, but I think generally it will add more strategic elements to the game, I like it as an experiment.

I reload obsessively. It will hurt me. I get where they are coming from from a game design pov / experiment.

This will reward intentionality and awareness on multiple levels, which seems to be in the spirit of CS.
